Ghost Recon and R6. Both have veered so far off from what they once were that it's laughable what they've become.
R6 as near as I can tell is off fighting
in its next incarnation, while GR lost its identity and became 3rd person Far Cry watered down with UBIsoft game mechanics that's present in every one of their games.
I miss the days when R6 would give you an AI controlled squad, allowed you to draw up a breaching plan of attack, hit the play button and jump into the action while that plan you drew up played out. While Ghost Recon somehow became a survival ARPG featuring quests and loot.
At this rate I fully expect UBI's next Splinter Cell to take place underwater where Sam has to lead a next generation of hipster agents in recovering a time machine from a devious cult of mermen who worship a giant talking squid monster.
At this point they might as well retire Tom Clancy's name.
