Classic outfits look dope though Carlos still looks weird. Capcom knows how to secure a preorder. But Jill looks so much better like this than the dumb tank top design.

Whoa.

I was never a big fan of the tube top for Jill, but this sold me on it. LOVE IT.

If Capcom chose to redesign outfits because of modern-day, that's fine, but this is a title, where I'd want the classic looks included in-game and absent any manner or pre-order or microtransaction. The classic Jill design is something of a cheat, though, almost as if they couldn't make it too sexy and ditched the tighter, more structured outfit from the original game. Still, my biggest issue with both Jill and Carlos' redesigns is their hair; neither looks great, but Jill's now-wavy locks seem unnatural with their part and the amount of volume on the one side.

According to the official website, Jill is still in Raccoon City because she is suspended, under house arrest, and is under constant surveillance after surviving the Mansion incident.

Here's the quote:

Having undergone Delta Force training made Jill a natural fit as Rear Security for the Raccoon Police Department's special forces team, S.T.A.R.S., and her knack for picking locks and handling explosives have proven equally useful making her an especially outstanding team member. However, Jill is one of few surviving members after the team saw numerous losses to the shambling corpses and monstrous creatures they encountered while investigating reports of missing persons in what has become known as the Mansion Incident.
A survivor of that incident, Jill is determined to continue investigating Umbrella, the creators of the deadly T-Virus at the heart of the incident, but her investigation has been impeded by a suspension and an order to remain at home. What's more, her apartment appears to be under round-the-clock surveillance. The entire city seems to be under Umbrella's control, with the police force being no exception. Jill has decided to escape from her confines in Raccoon City in order to bring Umbrella's evil to light, but this may not prove so simple...

I like nuJill. Better than Claire, Lady and Trish. IMO the best female face in RE engine so far (not counting Ada).

Please have more than 4 enemies in this game please. The realism meme really dampens the creativity on these games a lot. Costumes and enemy variety are dull as fuck.

Let Jill get her Regina costume back and give her a Morrigan one or something and let Carlos get a Jin Saotome costume.

I just saw that you receive a PS4 Theme by pre ordering the game on the PSN store. I will likely go with the physical edition. The OST looks to be good.

Jesus, that is the most bland action theme I've ever heard. Awful OST IMO (though I wasn't a fan of most of the OG RE3 OSTs which also opted for a typical [90s military] action type themes]. Why do most RE games refuse to make themes with actual horror undertones? That's potentially what plays when Nemesis is chasing Jill, and it sounds like an action track from Tomb Raider.

Also, I don't need that shit blaring out of my speakers raising my BP while I'm just chillin at the dashboard. Kind of ridiculous. On top of that, it's just a single static image. The icons don't change. The transition sound doesn't change. That is an incredibly lazy PS4 theme.

Also, I know this post seems negative, but it's only towards the theme and that OST. The trailer and game look fkn fantastic to me

I love it for having that Terminator feel, which is fitting for Nemesis as he chases you. It also has hints of the old Nemesis theme.

There is nothing wrong with the new Jill
She looks good in this shot, but the animation for the characters look off in the trailer. To be fair, if you rewatch the reveal trailer of RE2make, the character models also look off for Leon in the opening and Claire--they aren't even the same models used in the final game.

I'm also hoping we get new models for the zombies, but if not, I hope that's because Capcom put more time into modeling both hunter types, crows, giant spiders, drain demos, and all the other enemy types in RE3. No more cutting enemies for "not being realistic" or whatever Capcom told themselves during the development of RE2make.

What a shame that this was leaked so far in advance. They even set it up as a surprise in the Direct. You can tell they weren't expecting it to get out.

Looks good. I'm not so much a fan of her redesign though as it looks less inspired, It lack the unique silhouette of the original tube top & skirt.
She looks like she walked off the set of Uncharted/Tomb Raider

I came here to say this, thank you. Not much boob left either as expected.

Other than it looking nothing like Jill as we know her, sure. Hell I'm seeing a bit of Milia Jovovich in her.

I figured I wouldnt be a fan of nuJill, modern Capcom character design just doesn't look very good to me, I'm honestly not a fan of the toning down of the more over the top campy elements of RE.

I don't like it but I'll live with it. Nemesis however looks fucking terrible to me, the nose is so unnecessary, he doesn't look intimidating he just looks dumb.

Meh, I'll buy it.

The icons are different. The default PS4 UI icons are the blue box. Compared to RE 2 remake the OST here is better. I suppose this might be an action sequence OST.

So I'm guessing they've changed Jill's backstory from her being out for a night on the town to something different based off of the outfit. Kinda like how they changed Leon's from him going on a drunken bender.

Here's somewhat of an update on the new achievement for RE2make.

My guess is Brad's zombie will be added in, and killing him gives you an achievement.

I'm glad you're enjoying it man. Other than the drums though, I can't hear the old chase tune in it.

EDIT: Here we go, for comparison

You might have a more alternate theme man. The normal PS4 icons are just those white little outlines (like the headphones, party, friends list, and setting icons for example are all the exact same). I turned on my PS4 just now to check and compare too. As far as I can tell, it looks the same (unless I'm missing something). It all looks just like in this video too:

A blast from the past. From the biohazard 5th anniversary package back in March 2001.

Interviewees:
Shinji Mikami (BIO HAZARD Director)

Hideki Kamiya (BIOHAZARD2 Director)

Kazuhiro Aoyama (BIOHAZARD3 Director)

Hiroki Katoh (BIOHAZARD CODE : Veronica Director)

Katsutoshi Karatsuma (BIO HAZARD Programmer) (voice of Tofu both in original RE2 and RE2Remake)

Mikami never wanted RE3 to be assigned the number 3. He even prepared his letter of resignation.

It looks like infected dogs from the Arklay forest infected the people of Raccoon City, not rats. Here's a quote from the official RE3 remake site:

A series of strange disappearances have been occurring in the American Midwest within a place called Racoon City. A specialist squad of the police force known as S.T.A.R.S. has been investigating the case, and have determined that the pharmaceutical company Umbrella and their biological weapon, the T-Virus, are behind the incidents—though they've lost several members in the process. Jill Valentine and the other surviving S.T.A.R.S. members try to make this truth known, but find that the police department itself is under Umbrella's sway and their reports are rejected out of hand.

However, soon reports of a grisly "cannibal virus" begin to surface, and vicious dogs begin roaming the streets. With the viral plague spreading through the town and to her very doorstep, Jill is determined to survive.
However, unbeknownst to Jill, an extremely powerful pursuer has already been dispatched to eliminate her.

The original is my favourite Resi and one of my top 10 games of all time.

This looks... fine.

Worse than the original, design wise, and it's a shame to see they've apparently not gone a bit harder into the ridiculousness of the original since REmake 2 did so well while bejng so conservative, but oh well.

I just hope they keep the branching story options, rewards for temporarily downing the nemesis, different endings, funky weapons and special ammo once youve made enough of one type.

The icons are not transparent and have the RE effect on them (some kind of scratched paint)

you know ... capcom had already fixed someone else's face before by watching that horrible idea becoming a meme...

Man I'm loving these remakes, keep them coming! It's like reliving the 90's with a new coat of paint! :messenger_smiling_hearts:

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed the resemblance, boobs and all. Remakes are trying to be more realistic, and changes like this gives them their individuality. Plus we're getting the classic costume as dlc so it's not a major slap in the face for purists.
