The BoM comparison is not broken down by either Bloomberg article or ZhugeX. So we don't even know if they are pricing things the same way. It's one person's estimate for one and another person's estimate for the other.

ZhugeX does mention that he expected the XSX BoM to be higher than the PS5 "somewhat". Not really clarified by how much though.

No, I'd like to talk more on how we somehow know the respective boms of two unreleased, unspecified pieces of hardware and how this points to the unrelenting domination of the Xbox brand worldwide.

He only told me that(Devkit 3)
1. PS5 has better GPU(very small difference),Ram and SSD(big difference) and RT solution (both consoles have different approach towards RT)
2. XSX has better CPU, cooling solution and a quieter fan noise.
Aslo XSX SSD is upgradable. Also XSX has 1TB SSD(devkit) and PS5 also has 1TB but XSX also has 1TB HDD. He didn't reveal exact numbers.And secret is nothing but the RT solution on PS5.
Please don't ban me this information is 100% legit I am not a developer .

As per the $450 build cost, I dont see how that confirms anything about PS5 at all.

As for the DRAM shortages if I recall correctly that was a similar situation for the ps4 aswell at the time.

Haven't posted on this site for a long time. New console release always brings me back to neogaf haha.

This thread has been both informative and entertaining.

Personally I think a £399-£449 ($549ish) PS5 would sell gangbusters.

I am mostly just excited to see what games they make in the new gen. If Sony first party can make games like uncharted/God of war/HZD on a 1.84TF system, I can't even get my head around what they would do on a 5+ times more power machine.

Exciting years ahead for gamers.

I will not brother I didn't have anything to prove that this is legit except my brother he is USA and I am in India. Now PS fanboy will mock me for hey PS5 has better cooling solution and XSX fanboy will knock me by talking about GitHub leak. This is the truth why any insider didn't give new shit here (I am not an insider) this is the truth we must accept PS5 is loud has restrictions on SSD upgrade we must accept but It also has some of the best exclusive franchise.
On the other hand XSX SSD speed is slower than PS5 we must accept it but MS has done so many great thing we have now very Strong first party studios and Services like Gamepass we must happy with these good things. Hope you get it but everything my brother told me 100% legit atleast at present.

So apparently Sony’ system has a bill of materials of barely 450$ , possibly slightly lower but close to 450$ while the new Xbox is between 460-520$ (closer to 520$). That’s a substantial difference that finally lays to rest any doubts about which system will be stronger and «insiders» are proven to be wrong by common sense really, cause it was obvious that MS would built the most powerful they could and their message with the new Xbox had been clear since day one.

Except it is a «barely reaches 450$« machine which means slightly lower than 450$ compared to 460-520 , closer to 500 or more judging by the tone of the tweet. That is actually quite a big difference when it comes to the bill of materials for a console, Anyway people are allowed to hope until the final moments I guess.....
