Pewdiepie Makes Millions More Than Any Other YouTuber.

Pretty much and parents love it also to get there kids on it, so they don't have to deal with there kids. I saw kids as young as 5 year old knowing pretty much all youtube "stars".

It's win win for all involved.

saw a kid the other day. prob 5 or 6 or 7. was yelling at the phone playing fortnite. mom looked like shes early 30s or late 20s. she looked like she doesnt give a fuck about her kids. her daughter was hitting her 1 year old infant on the head, but hey they were all wearing matched sneakers, thats all that matters right? social media parenting. care only when your making snapchats. 3 kids and the mom looked like one of these instagram bitches.

these kids are legitimately mentally ill. I have been to a few discord channels that have 14-16 year olds. they are mentally ill dude. they just post the most random shit and there is nothing serious. nothing that makes sense.

if my growing up process was to watch retards on youtube yell at video games then i'd be stupid as fuck too.

I think Pewdiepie's audience is more mature than what people give him credit for.
He has a lot of little jabs against SJW politics all the time that draw people in.

Probably mom is watching kim kardashian at that age. So yea they are part of the problem. But also society pushes them into that solution tho. Most people now at sub 30 years old are heavily heavily relaying on social media to the point it will give them a depression if they can't feed themselves with it.

Maybe those 90's people that were against mtv etc had a point and actually where from the future.

That all these people do not have school studies, right now they are happy that they earn money and blah blah, but it is temporary and when they see that nobody listens to them anymore, they will give a regret of a lifetime.

They are happy for now.

Sooner or later they will regret.
Some youtubers are really hardworkers. As in any endeavor of life, success is a mix of luck, proficiency and will.
You can be the worst asshat in the planet and still be successfull.

If you mean that someone like Felix is not going to ride this success for too long, you are probably wrong, that dude is probably set for life in money and is already like 10 years deep in his youtube carrer, his channel is what it is because of his success.

If someone studies, works and is on YouTube just for hobby, it's fine.

But if they say it's a job to be Youtuber, that's where the problem is.

I don't know who anybody on that list is OP. I know who pew is because my little sister would watch his videos when she was 8. I remember coming over and asking her if she wanted to play a game and she was like "no I'd rather watch somebody else play it". I hate youtube.

This is what can happen when you invest in the kids. Think about those kids who watched pewdiepie play minecraft 8 years ago? Are now 20 hanging out with others who watched pewdiepie. They got jobs now and he was basically their disney channel.

This being Youtuber should be regularized by the Government, because they are hurting the youth a lot,
It's not even a job, it's just slacking and making ridiculous
They already make more money in a year than most regular people in a life time, at that point with safe investments money just reproduces itself

I like Dude Perfect stuff. It’s sports-related stunts, and some of the stunts are pretty impressive. The crew is maybe a bit too enthusiastic, but whatever.

It’s definitely family-friendly. A middle schoo that I worked in a couple of years ago showed videos from this channel in gym/PE classes to start off. I subbed after watching a few videos.

I'm somewhat surprised that both ads and merch are so in line. The top 13 are not only the same, but in the same order. I understand they are both directly related to popularity, but it seems strange they are so perfectly in line.

I'm subbed, the guy entertains me, I don't know what's so special about him but he makes me laugh and it's like a source of pop culture news. I don't watch him play games though. I tried to watch his Minecraft stuff but I just couldn't get into it.

I love his book reviews!

Pewds has staying power because of how he is an incredible entertainer. I'd put him up there with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and other talk show hosts... The fact that he pumps out videos daily and does so without a team of writers is nothing short of incredible.

I'm sure there are many kids who watch his videos, but I do know many people around 30 who watches him. Hell, even my girlfriend who hates games wants to watch his videos with me.

Yeah, this dude could step in a pile of metaphorical shit for content, and still make it a great time. He’s just got a very entertaining, fun, and when he wants it to be, insightful personality.

The late night talk show host, back when late night talk show hosts were good, is a perfect comparison, and one I’ve made myself, although I’d argue Pewds is more down-to-earth, regular person, and humble.

7 million a month?

A MONTH?

This is an unimaginable amount of money. The money he makes in one month would change the lives of lots of people. That's enough money to live a comfortable life without ever lifting your finger. He must be like a proper billionaire now.

I'm jelly. I only need 1 million man, come on :(

there are more kids than tech guys.
And even most tech guys don't visit those channels frequently, much less sub and purchase merch. Most tech guys use Youtube as an encyclopedia with a searchable index. They're after specific knowledge and they'll go to whomever has it when they need it.

It's only the enthusiasts who like to argue about partial percentage points of performance who'll stick with a site that supports their opinions on the best hardware.

The top youtubers on that list are personality-driven, from what I can tell looking at the names. I've heard of pie, markiplier, and ninja. Ninja is the only one I could identify by sight, from Twitch. :)

Why would they regret it? They'll have the money to get the training/education for practically any career they'd like if this one dries up without allowing them to transition/diversify before the end.

Sounds like sour grapes to me.

The study estimates that, each month, PewDiePie takes home nearly $7 million dollars in merchandise sales.

Wait, what? You mean that chart is by month? Everyone up there is pulling in 12x the sum of those figures annually? Jesus Christ. Successful youtube careers are lucrative.

Yep. There are a lot of bad parents out there. I'd be willing to bet a lot of parents regret having children, so they'd be looking for any way to keep their kids occupied to avoid doing their parenting duties.

I'm so glad I had a chance to grow up before the internet became what it is today.

Who wants to gift brap a pewdiepie bobblehead? He clearly wants one.

Jesus. What it is about Felix that makes him such a must watch for people? I ask because I've never followed his career so I really can't see the appeal.
13 year old girls. They're like, 90% percent of his audience.
I don't care about his content, but when I see cancers like rice gum, Jake Paul and similar dudes, he's actually ok when compared to them.

A month of doing nothing helped him see he'd rather keep piling money into the Scrooge McDuck gold coin repository instead of spending that much free time with the wife.
