I started out that way because I always treat people with respect, but after realizing you've been lying not only to me, but to all these people on this forum, that shit went away quickly. You've lied about all of the so-called "exclusives" that would be coming to Microsoft, you've lied about that "trailer" you saw, and you've probably been lying about the next-gen console information, and just happened to get lucky with a couple numbers.
I didn't want to come on here and automatically start jumping down your throat, so I tried to give you a reason to explain yourself, and even provided evidence that your claims were falsified, yet you still haven't cleared any of them up.

Looks like the most pessimistic guess on PS5 GPU is 36 CUs at, what, 8TF, allowing for clocks reduction to keep thermals very safely in check. If Sony can take a bath at $399 with that relatively meagerly spec’d machine then they have market advantage until Lockhart becomes a thing.
If Sony “needs” to enter at $500 then they better have a narrative that can downplay that performance gap, or else close it somewhat with more CUs or screaming clocks.

Tera means trillion. FLOPS is Floating Point Operations Per Second. The formula for FLOPS is simply "Shaders * # of Ops per cycle * core clock speed". To get the number of shaders starting from CU count, just multiply CUs * 64(# of shaders per CU).

In the 3 Guru3D benchmarks, 5700XT has a ~19% increase in performance, despite Vega 64 have a ~32% increase in TLFOPS over the 5700XT. The 4th bench listed is PCGH's 20-game average performance chart, showing 5700XT with a 13.5% advantage over the Vega 64. In gaming, a 9.2TF RDNA console is right on the brink of being twice as powerful as a Xbox One X, not to mention RT capabilities on top and a faster CPU and HDD/SSD by far.

Which is why I sent confirmation when I actually got to go hands on . Was it lucky to be dead on with the trailer release for Ghosts or With the XseX final form being done and revealed what a week later? It's posted on this site and before both things happened. Who could possibly be that lucky? Or Gamestop updating PS5 Info less than 24 hours after I said they would. Again, you have a chance to clear up the Superman and Killer Instinct situation, but you haven't yet. Both developers of both studios came out and said they weren't working on those games.

This thread has over 1000 pages and I dont remember their nicknames. I only remember certain details (for example one insider was even disagreeing with Tommy)
These fake insiders were simply making fun of people here, probably because there are losers and wanted to feel special for at least five minutes pretending to be a real insiders.
Sony will reveal PS5 "V" 14TF in 14 February ("V"alentines day) and shock everyone with amazing power. That's what one particular insider said, a true love story.
Now I will rather trust VFXVeteran info. He is verified, and his info is not something people could easily guess. VFXVeteran obviously like this site and i doubt he would post a lie just to be banned when sony will finally reveal conflicting info. IMO only real insider would make such a unexpected claim and real info is often surprising. Of course sony fans dont want to hear about 2 SKUs and 9TF console, so they attack VFXVeteran (one funny guy is even blocking everyone who even mention 9TF LOL

You have it wrong to why Sony fans hating him. We hated him before the 12TF reveal and before the github leak. He claimed both consoles were 1080 GTX levels last year and anyone who thought it would go higher is delusional. You can't claim something, then after it's revealed change your info and come back to say "i told you so". That's what vfx does. Anyone with half an ounce of intelligence knows the guy's insider info is nothing but FUD.

Idk man something's up between the insiders here and the mods. I mean, after being wrong so many times, you would think they would either ban or take away insider status, but they don't. That should ring a bell.
I could go both ways there while trying to look at it from their (in my mind) perspective. Ultimately though, if they have capacity to launch both, I think they'd want as many sales right out of the gate as possible. Both for momentum and software / service revenue.

I think the plan is more tied to the One and One X. the plan is to release all first party games on both One and Series X (third parties do that anyways during generational shifts), and by the time the One support will stop they will have a cheap upgrade system with Lockhart for people that only want/need 1080p
early adopters are almost always enthusiasts anyways and enthusiasts are willing to spend more money. so people will be supported with new games on Xbox One until Lockhart is on the market.

This problem applies to a lot of people on this thread on both sides. They already have an outcome in their minds that they want to happen. And then, when they see the slightest hints, whether they be true or not, that favors their desired outcome, they take the entire mile rather than taking it with a grain of salt.

I really doubt insider status is limited to people with 100% first hand knowledge (that they can somehow share) of one or both upcoming system's specs. I would imagine it means they work in the industry to some degree, and I would further imagine that countless people work in the industry who hear things but don't get direct reports / access to them from Sony / MS.

Yeah man, it’s unbelievable that we are STILL discussing it, we are at a point where even if Sony and Mark Cerny themselves came out and said “PS5 is a 13 TF RDNA 2 console, not 9.2 TF”, you’ll still see people saying “nope, not gonna believe ya, it’s still 9.2 TF because GitHub”.
They're doing it now even, we are at a point where Mark Cerny is apparently a liar now for saying that PS5 has Hardware Ray Tracing in the GPU just like Nvidia’s RTX and Xbox Series X’s GPU because the GitHub leak said it has no Hardware Ray Tracing.
It’s so funny....and scary at times because of how some people are in denial.....but I’m just waiting now for Sony to confirm the GPU specs anytime now.
