There is nothing racist holding an autocratic, despicable government accountable. The same government that has been shown to be committing systemic genocide on their Muslim populace and encroaching on the civil rights of bordering territories. They have lied about numbers, been slow to share information, AND has kicked out international journalists on top of being the source of this pandemic that threatens the world.

Theres been at least 5 senators that have leaked conversations about selling hotel stocks due to privileged information before the virus struck, and omitting information in order to delay. Teams should have been sent to wuhan to study the likelyhood of an outbreak, but guess what? The CDC had been basically dismantled, and the cherry on top is how he keeps ignoring the experts and keeps saying ‘ I know more about (insert something) than any body else’

Because Chinese engage in social media more than anyone else, and travel more than anyone else, if you can read (or google translate) mandarin they talk about anything and everything and it is out in the open on platforms accessible to every other person on earth. They especially focus on failings of their local government and dobbing in corrupt officials. Thus it is plain for all to see if something does not match a major official meta-narrative. You can't contain information in a globalized, heavily interconnected country of 1.44 billion.

Americans in particular are brainwashed to a degree that actually affords them the opinion that China is north Korea. It's quite a contrast between reality and perception for anybody that has directly engaged with china and the chinese in any way..

China's anti-viral actions were out in the open and decisive. You can trust their pandemic response. More so than the failed response of your own governments. Maybe China could have taken decisive action to curb the virus 1-2 weeks earlier, in tandem with informing the WHO just a week after the virus was discovered. But your own regimes had months to confront a known quantity and had an example to work from...yet they continue to fail to act decisively.

I don't believe China's numbers at the start. But I am even more upset with the Aussie governments response to this whole tragedy. On Jan 25 we had our first 4 cases arrive from China. We only started testing 2 days earlier. God knows how many others came in prior to that or were not detected as infected. We should have closed the borders there and then.

Given that everything is made in China in the first place (with various quality control). Countries need to now see if local Supplying is better for us.

According to Wikipedia, Germany is already looking into this, and of course with Brexit in the UK happening, the British will need to try and invest and expand local supplies as well to lean less on the EU and China. (no offense to Europeans!)

To be completely honest, Chinese Investments into US/UK/EU Companies should now be illegal, and telling Tencent/AliBaba etc that they can only be contractors to these Big Projects should be the way to go. Trump was right to not have Huawei in American Businesses (where Boris/May shouldn't have done this).

The only other alternative the World has if they really want cheap labour, is to use Vietnam/Thailand etc which tend to have less extremist Communist views than China and are small enough to not be a significant threat to the Economy.

Either way, after this Pandemic is at the tail end, a LOT of Companies may think twice about using China as their main importer.

I think China's Economy may collapse after this, causing a Domino effect of the Middle Class Chinese revolting and (probably) overthrowing the Communist Party. It sounds like a dream, but sometimes big events like this can change Governments in Power quite swiftly!
