Just glanced over the last couple of pages, but lost interest quickly.
Is there ever not a drama on Era. Just one normal day when people chat the shit and maybe have a wee laugh with each other. Does that honestly ever happen.
During the year when I was a member there I truly do not remember a single day when I logged in and people were not scratching at each other's faces over something. Dealing with that nonsense must be absolutely exhausting for the dwindling band of normal human beings who still use the forum.

Only time I remember that place feeling like a normal gaming forum was around Directs for the first year. I shudder to imagine what those threads are like now. Can't say I miss the place.

They are either trolls who are taking the piss, or they simply can't see the basic fact that Era's is possibly the single most toxic environment you'll find in any gaming forum. I'd say it had a purpose but the link between devs and fans broke with the split in 2017. Twitter and Reddit havr filled the void and i doubt people want to go back. We saw one of Insomniac's staff on Twitter almost going to town on their bullshit but restrained himself. With Remedy getting the big was of cash, I doubt they will go near ERA for promotion.
If I still had an account I would try and get Colin Moriarty's brick game to be Resetera's game of the year. Now that would be interesting.

For 99% of them on Ree this is the most actual life threatening thing they have so far encountered. Brought up on a diet of Social media they have to hype everything up ( Which isn't exclusive to REE obviously).

Effective implementation of UBI might require some implementation of a universal government ID/digital account/tracking system which the more libertarian among us probably wouldn't like, as well.
On the other hand, a system like that would probably make it a lot easier to do your taxes or apply for government initiatives and programs. Estonia is on the right track on this front.

Believe all women is one of the dumbest cliches ever. For one, it only matters what law enforcement believes, not random morons on the internet. Secondly, no one should just ever be "believed" for anything. They should be listened to and their claims should be followed up on and investigated, but that's precisely why there are investigations in the first place. If "believe all women" was taken literally, then there wouldn't be an investigation or trial. Woman accuses man of bad thing. He's detained and thrown in jail the next day.
No logical or reasonable human believes anything without all the facts. I don't care who it comes from. But especially not in terms of legal or criminal realms.

Let developers discuss on their own technical terms on a separate platform Some can be quite rude, thinking that every poster has graduated from computer science
