Capcom survey wants to know if you would buy another Resident Evil Remake

Sure, as long as they don't phone it in like the RE3 remake.

Give me REmake 4
re 3 is barely a remake, racoon city was shrunk down to the size of a pen cap. I'd still say it is a really good game though. But I agree I'd take a remake that actually recreates all of the locations from the game fully and doesn't shrink down several major sections to 1 room and eliminate a bunch of other ones.

Yes, Code Veronica could use for a modern remake. RE4 doesn't really need a remake, a textures upgrade like the HDProject would be more than enough.

For RE5 unless they go back and develop the game they first had intended then I'd say don't bother.

If it's the A team developing it, I would take REREmake. The location layout already there has the most potential for an easy upgrade into something very compelling. The aqua ring, caves, guardhouse and lab could do with a rework.

If it's the B team (RE6/REV/RE3make) then no.

They've missed a good opportunity to do a proper remake of RE1. Probably the only one I'd be interested in.

It got made in 2002 and it's the best game in the entire series so....
By proper remake I meant a third person perspective one to have a complete trilogy of remakes with similar camera orientation.

I'm not saying the current one is bad, it just plays differently from 2R and 3R.

Make RE8 but make it RESIDENT EVIL IV
Then remake RESIDENT EVIL VERONICA

I'd still LOVE a remake of the first RE in the new engine with the new mechanics. BIG time. I'd buy a collector's hands down no matter what it looked like.

Just the idea of owning 1-3 remade sounds delicious. after that I'd love to have a visually updated 4 after that. I mean, change the engine, but literally make everything exactly the same, haha.

I wouldn't.
Resident Evil Remake is so good that you absolutely have no reason to play the original game outside of nostalgia.
It's the superior remake above 2 and 3
and one of the best horror games ever made.
Just do an RE4 and re-release it every console generation.

Do please touch RE4, Capcom.
Remove everything after the first half of castle and the game goes from great to legendary.

Only one RE needs a remake and thats Code Veronica but if you rush it like RE3 remake and remove parts of the original then NO Thank You Capcom.

Code Veronica needs a remake badly. RE4 would be amazing too but only if they leave it overhauling the graphics and do not touch the rest.

I guess they could remake like CV, 0 or even 5 since those can be improved but ultimately I'd rather some new entries and not rehashing the same old shit forever.

Yep, only if it were RE 1 in this style, Code Veronica, Zero and Outbreak

Don't tough 4, 5 or 6, they're fine as is now

An RE4 graphical remaster would be pretty awesome. Keep everything identical but upgrade the graphics to next gen standard with ray tracing and everything.

Hell yeah. I never finished Code Veronica and don't remember much, but I love the REmakes so far. I'd also be down with a RE4 remake, but less urgent for that. They could probably just give it the REmake control scheme and update the visuals and call it a day with some balance changes.

Code Veronica. Then remake 0 but have the partner system more akin to the partner system of Revelations 2, rework the story (especially the villain, the hell is Final Fantasy doing in RE?!), make the enemies better (maybe not so many animals, some were just ridiculous-looking) and definitely lose the shitty dropping items garbage that made 0 easily have the highest amount of backtracking in any RE game for such a dumb reason, just have item boxes or give the characters more reasonable inventory spaces (the "oh, but you get more slots than 1!" is such nonsense as you still have weapons on both characters plus some weapons take two slots).

Leave 4 and 5 alone (and sure, 6 could use a LOT of improvement but it's way too modern), there's not much a remake could do with them IMHO. These remakes work better with PS1/64 era games or earlier, MAYBE early PS2/GC era games. RE 4 came out at the end of the Gamecube's life. The graphics hold up great.
4 looks outdated now. They should make it. Or better yet make 4 how it was supposed to be made inside the creepy castle.

Completely rewrite that muthafucker.
And then do RE4
No, not a Remake but completely Redo it, different Story, different characters
No village people with parasites
I can already hear the villagers screaming UN FORASTERO!

I would absolutely purchase Code Veronica again. It was the first Resident Evil game I played an finished on Dreamcast and then I started to go back and play the originals on PlayStation.

Since when is CV considered bad? Did I miss something?
From what I know it was considered to be one of the best in the series. o_O

How about a new game set in the same time frame and style of RE2R and RE3make, a proper campaign of around 8-10 hours and NO stinky multiplayer add on? Put your resources in a great single player campaign with those graphics and Im in.

For me I had enought of RE4 clones.

If thats the only remakes you're capable of, then I see no reason to keep the originals. Re1 remake its the only true great remake and loyal to its roots.

I would probably buy a Resident Evil Outbreak: File #1 remake since I never played it before

Plus the title of it just sounds great, I always thought

Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4 remakes are inevitable at this point, the question is when.

Specially 4, which is a too good of an opportunity to pass by

We DO NOT need remakes for games that hold up well to this day. This will set a very bad precedent. Is next gen going to be filled with remakes of late ps2 games now?

I know RE has a B Movie story quality about it but despite being a fantastic action game RE4 has some proper straight to DVD shit story and the cheese is taken to the max.
If they remake it, it would have to be from scratch
Because even coming from the Remakes that shit is laughable
Veronica can be fixed while maintaining most of the original.
It can be redeemed.
But RE4? And I say this with a heavy heart
Needs to be nuked from orbit with everything else that came after it.
