Didn't realize it at first, but yeah no 3.5mm jack is going to be a problem for me. At least 90% of my PlayStation 4 time has been with my wired headphones plugged into the controller jack. Sure there is wireless headsets but they're typically a) proprietary and b) only last a few hours.
Fwiw, I've actually been using this headset for years with no issues, and it's like, $30.. It's stated to not be compatible, but it worked with my Base PS4 and Pro perfectly. Surprisingly comfy and good sound for the price too. It IS wired, but the cord's pretty long, so ymmv on how useful it is or not for you.

Looks amazing, I was expecting just a bulkier DS4 instead this looks elegant and futuristic.
The idea that the console design might be consistent with this makes me really happy, white is so elegant. Just look at how premium a the launch PS4 looked in white:

Looking forward to the new functionalities as the Create button, things like creating your own videos were basically already there on PS4 with Share factory so there must be something significantly new.
Better battery is also a nice plus.

Not a fan of this dual color scheme. I mean I like the back/front color design you can get with the Dual Shock 4 or Xbox One Gamepads, but this here just looks ugly... even worse than my Splatoon Pro Gamepad. Maybe it's because it's black and white with clear buttons, but I really don't like this. Need to wait for other colors to make a final judgement on that.

The shape/overall design however is nice, looks a lot closer to the Xbox One Gamepad.

I also am looking forward to the "force feedback" in the triggers. It wouldn't surprise me if it turns out to be a crappy gimmick that 3rd parties don't really use, just like anything Nintendo does.

Twitter. People are picking the picture and editing the color. I guess Dualsense will be more ambitious than Dualshock 4 on color departament.
Hey man, you have your profile on private... Is there any way to chat with you in private about something?

There are two mini light bars. One on each side of the touchpad. Thats the only lights they mentioned in the blog post

Sony gotta keep forcing that light bar on us.

I am guessing at this point Sony has a giant investment in the company that makes the tech for the light bars LOL.

Is the colour of a launch controller and console so important that it's the difference between buying it or not.

Seriously?

I love white, but usually get the darker colours since White controllers tend to turn yellow over time. :/

I absolutely love the design, but I need to read more about the buttons. They look the bad kind of weird, it looks a bit curvy there and they look a bit small. Maybe it's the angle.

I don't understand the shape of the dual color scheme, makes it look like a boomerang. Really it's like a 90's TV show designed future controllers

Well definitely a star war vibe...to chose SF as a theme, would have preferred an Alien inspiration. Imagine a HG Giber controller !

Looks awful, like something out of a cheap Sci-fi, but Sony STILL sticks with a design that is going to place strain on the charging ports while it's laid flat and plugged in.
the usb type c is far more resistant than that filmsy shitty micro usb port on ds4, at least i hope.

Feature-wise, it seems it's only about got haptics and none of the the other stuff like sweat sensors and pulse sensing... shame.
Those are of limited use and would have driven the price even higher. I'm already expecting these controllers to be more expensive.

What I was hoping for. Reminds me a little bit of the original PS3 concept boomerang controller - Mixed with DS4 Pro.

Look at those face buttons. They look tall and round, like they're begging you to press them. The DualSense from that angle look like it's rocking some keypads from nokia phones.

It's looking closer and closer to Xbox's controller, at least where you grip it and less distinctive of DS.
But that's when looking at it from the front, not sure what it is that throws it off so much for me (other angles/images it looks nice).

The black mock ups people did (with or without coloured buttons and logo) look much better. I'm sure a a black gamepad will released.

But I didn't know Sony was making PS5 controllers for this.

Yeah, I'm still interested in the haptics. The adaptive triggers are new too, I think Xbox has those I think as well.

It's a first to have the haptics, but Switch's HD rumble is similar to haptics too, and it's not great.

I'm kinda surprised there isn't more to talk about. It's a controller. Looks awesome. :p
