Gameplay philosophy looks great and if they deliver on it; that shit could be really really good. Leaks have made me sceptical about the overall story direction, it's not that such a narrative can't work and couldn't be good, but if it's "smack you in the face virtue signaling" than obviously that's bad. We'll see, there is something to be said for works of fiction where the first/third person perspective is from a character the audience doens't like...those can still be groundbreaking and powerful experiences.

Not interested in this thing, Naughty Dog can go take a hike. Next thing you know, in the next game we will play as a trans character that also identifies as a zombie of the original sex that he/she had, and the entire script will be about how to figure out which pronouns to use.

I'm fairly sure that's just a tutorial from the beginning of the game. It's just telling you what the buttons are.

I think the game looks really great, but a lot of crap comes out of these guys mouths. "Uhhh you can lie down now. That makes it harder for you to be seen. Let me take 5 minutes explaining that over and over again with dramatic camera angles. Blahblahblahblah Ellies shoes...."

Devs said its more open world like we would t have open worlds here. Damn i played odyssey so many hrs that this wont look like freedom so much. I guess if you will go one path like road so thats what you have a path you cant just turn right and go into bushes, so for open world freeks this is nothing like open world. Its not like days gone im sure.
Have some thoughts about how good all looks at dark when all wet but thrn at day and dry all looks kinda too bright not sure but it feels like that like some dynamic lighting would be missing ,dynamic shadows or smt.

It looks great, no doubt about it. It will be one of the most polished and highly reviewed games ever made.
The game play looks stella.
Saying all that, the comments the developers make in the video, sometimes i feel like i have heard it all before. It is probably just me but i get a feeling of Deja vu when i hear them trying to sell me their game.
I am not sure if it's them or just all of the industry of gaming but i find videos like that stale.

ND calls it "contextual animations", they have been doing them since UC2, but behind the fancy name it's more or less the same, it's all about pressing the right button at the right time. I prefer Uncharted's dynamic gameplay where you can go Rambo mode over TLoU, but hey, I'm not a fan of slow, stealthy games, so that's probably the reason. Ideally, I'd like to see ND doing something in between the two franchises, with fast paced, dynamic gameplay, but set in a mature, down to earth universe, but who knows, maybe one day.

You can go "Rambo" mode in TLOU you don't have to go slow and stealthy unless you're maybe playing on Grounded difficulty

Context Sensitive animation is not QTE. During a QTE moment, you get a button prompt and control is limited. This is used in every game and TLOU has it but not a lot of it and is limited in certain scenarios.
QTE - Used to get an enemy off you
Context Sensitive animation is as the word says, you are playing the game normally and have full control but the animation you see is based on a certain context. If you are fighting someone swinging an axe and you press a dodge button, you can dock but say you are fighting someone shooting an arrow you slide back, same dodge button but now the animation is different.
Context Sensitive Animation - different animations for the same button and action.
You have a stealth and Rambo option in TLOU. They have even said you can skip entire fights and move past it just by hiding without killing anyone.

Well, if you put a bit of thought in this, it simply means that it's people that were previously interested in the game that are now very disappointed in the direction it took. Obviously you are going to have a reaction to it, that would be the smart interpretation of it, don't you think?

1. It's not a QTE or pressing the right button prompt.
There are many games where you have to press a button rapidy to break freak from an enemy A.I's grasp. This was even in old Resident Evil games.
2. Going stealth is totally optional. You only have to worry about clickers killing you instantly, but you can kill them with weapons or melee attacks while having brick in your hand.

The more I watch footage of this, the more excited I get. I think I've sussed something though but don't want to say for fear of getting it right. It could just be Neil throwing us out with dialogue, which he's done before.

Bro exactly! They're putting in extra efforts to hate on this game but they can't change the success it'll receive
I am not a fan of turned based RPGs but I am not obsessed with hoping they fail. I realize many people like them and I want them to have their enjoyment. Why can't people be the same with ND or Rockstar or whatever games that clearly have a lot of people that love them. Let them have their happiness and fun. Video games are a very diverse and varied medium so there is something for all tastes.

Really? I'm also tired, I'm not getting the game, sometimes laugh at the memes and mostly just do jokes. I do like to complain a bit when I see some BS puff video, but what I find extremely weird is that there is always the same group of people rushing to every single TLOU2 thread and try to control the narrative.
I honestly wonder if they are paid by Sony or some sjw activists, it's so weird and creepy.

You can jump only after you catch the jump boots, there are three different variance of those the last one jumps higher and has a double jump.

The gameplay has been compared to MGS5 in how damn perfect and robust the mechanics are.. Doesnt have to be revolutionary, just has to be better than anything else in the genre. Which it sounds like it is.

Because I just can't take this game seriously. it's a very realistic world in terms of graphics and presentation and yet here we have a what? 45 kg girl physically overpowering men twice her size. I just can't take it seriously, and of course, we all know about the wonders of the new story in the spoilers, so, from a story point of view, I'm out as well.
But it's ok, the super duper woke people will enjoy the little androgynous lesbian grasshopper jumping around going "boing boing" while taking down those evil white men.

Exactly. They just try to deceive people with the "equality" guise (in which they are unfortunately VERY succesful) while what they only want is to just divide people as much as they possibly can. "Divide and conquer". It's a shame that we learned this tactic in elementary school yet so many people fall for it.
