The vast majority of Sony's talent is bought. There isn't some sort of Sony game development tech college people can attend lol!

And at the end of the day, when Sony ceases to exist in the future, Microsoft will still be taking a daily piss in not only yours, but your kids Cheerios every morning.

Digest that.

So you’re saying MS will take an already existing cereal product and add their own special sauce thereby making it worse?

Yep - that is exactly my point.

Developers need miltiple gigabytes to store code assets and one developer has even said UE5 tech demo must be well over 100 GB considering it's assets. So can we really expect similiar quality in real games? Games with similar assets would be absolutely gigantic even with 50% size reduction. If you dont believe any game will be over 100 GB this generation, then be prepared to be surprised.
Other devs have demonstrated that there is a LOT of asset re-use in the demo, saying there's only a handful of unique assets per area. There are many clever ways you can re-use assets in ways that is not visible, by rotating, showing a different side, etc.

How much do companies rely on world events when deciding to announce something? Is these any rule of thumb for that to avoid being missed in social media or even getting backlash?
I mean I've seen this argument "it's not a good time" popping up in different places, but considering that horrible stuff happens almost daily, Sony would never announce anything.

New PS4 games must also run on PlayStation 5 from July, Sony tells devs

Sony has told PlayStation 4 game developers that any new titles submitted for certification must also be compatible with PlayStation 5, beginning 13th July.

This means all PS4 games received by Sony for testing after the middle of that month are technically forwards compatible - playable on Sony's next-gen console - though it is up to each game's developer to ensure this is the case.

That means that there will be API hooks to allow the PS5 to inject enhancements. Not as good as what Xbox does, but it's something.

Its a rumor fake or not
Whel see

Here's another "rumor" The PS5 will be a non standard shape i.e. not a rectangle or square. The PS5 will be very quiet. The PS5 will cost $499. You'll hardly notice a difference in 3rd party games between XsX and PS5. You will notice a difference in 1st party games because of the different decisions both companies made in regard to the console design/tech. Both will have awesome games, but PS5 will have more, better exclusives.

In before people claiming that PS4 games will hold back PS5 titles ( like they have been saying on Xbox )

That's not a leak, anybody can make an educated guess like that.

Also, 4chan-reddit LOL combo.

I agree. These final few days this is a bunch of semi-educated guesses from what we've seen so far and wild assed speculation, as per usual. 40% better performance on XSX? Just not possible with the delta on the I/O and SSD that we've seen plus the fact that even just "raw spec" wise the XSX is 18% higher on GPU. I think there will be much less difference between the two this generation than there was in the current generation. Then again, there may be some differences with some games related to each platform's specific strength where there may be some more noticeable difference. We'll simply have to see once we have actual gameplay, etc., to evaluate.

Eeit ignore what I typed I’m pretty sure I’m wrong lol
It's related to this
We're expecting backward compatible titles will run at a boosted frequency on PS5 so that they can benefit from higher or more stable frame rates and potentially higher resolutions. We're currently evaluating games on a title-by-title basis to spot any issues that need adjustment from the original software developers
Not holding anything about you mate, it's just that EG has a certain reputation.
As of July, all games need to be certified as PS5 compatible, so that they may run at native frequency. Otherwise, the system falls back to legacy mode when running them.

BC is not the same as cross-gen ports, which third party always does anyway.

Pre-order on the 3rd of June?
Source https://www.eurogamer.pl/articles/2020-05-29-ps5-przedsprzedaz-w-polsce-ruszy-juz-3-czerwca#comments

Translate DeepL:

Pre-sale of PlayStation 5 in our country will start on Wednesday, 3 June," says Gramy Na Maxa, referring to the employees of Polish electromarkets, who were contacted by the editors.

According to unofficial information provided by Bloomberg, it is on June 3 that the first full-fledged show of games aimed at the new Sony console will take place. This would mean that it will be possible to submit the previews immediately after the presentation.

Currently, the price of the console is not known. Perhaps we will know the details already on Wednesday. Interestingly, this very day is the day of the Days of Play promotions in the USA - it is possible that this is not a coincidence and the start of the action will be associated with the PS5 show.

That's bad. That means they'll just announce everything on June 3rd, including price. It must be 400, otherwise we're back in the PS3 days (which, first party games wise, was not too bad).

Why are you saying that's bad? If we did get everything announced and a $400 price tag as well, wouldn't that be GOOD? I'm thinking both these new machines would be $499. But we'll see. Maybe with PS Plus subscriptions and such they can justify doing $399. Maybe MS as well and that may be part of why they're pushing so hard that all games run on all those platforms...so they can effectively expand their base?

They already said info would be split among many different events.

I think the first show will show a lot of stuffs, then followed by events that will go deep dive on the PS5 launch games similar to what we seen with TLOU2 and GOT states of play, and also other deep dive to show more about PS5 hardware and its features.
