So on point and it looked better than one. It looks like it's doing tons of things and we can expect tht bcus Horizon one wasn't this static, empty open world like other games.

Can't wait to see how under water gameplay looks and is. Hope thy fixed the only graphical issue which was water animations but I'm sure thy did.
when robot turtle wake up you can see how vegetation and trees moves on his shell which leads me to believe that horizon enviroment will not be static like most of the games or just couple reacting bushes when you walk pass them i think it will be very animated.
the one issue i've had in the trailer is how waves breaks kind a looks a bit off, but from other angles water looks really good like in this screenshot

Nice to have a game for free on each console to play around it and test it, not sure how long it'll be though. But it's a great gift from Sony.

It's important to remember the game is still deep in development, from what we have seen the game looks huge in scope so the team will have a lot of refining, polishing and fixing to do. Hopefully for Augest we get a full gameplay demo which seems likely. I'm also curious how the game is utilising the PS5's SSD excluding asset streaming, I remember reading somewhere that the devs in the original game wanted to have some sort of fast travel feature in which Aloy jumps on flying robots or something like that and she would be able to travers across large parts of the map however the PS4's HDD just wasn't fast enough to stream that much data on the fly. I think there is still a lot of secrets and features about this game which we have not seen yet and the recent trailer was only a tip of the iceberg, maybe they want to surprise us.

One thing i was not sure at is in the way the new Horizon game seems to be is situated in the America's so much.
I mean the giant snapping turtle is very cool and all but i am curious why they would go that route. Are we going to have giant beavers and american eagles flying about. what about a herd of 100 bison charging at Aloy.

I mean the first game had tonnes of dinosaurs, and i would image you could have the setting anywhere on the planet.

If i recall, one of the pictures shows a giant red bridge with mist around it, i am guessing that it's going to be the golden gate bridge or something famous like that. That is at least the vibe i get from it.

Is the game being focused more on an america landscape setting to attract more Americans to buy into the eco system of ps5.

I keep having have flashback thoughts of seeing a half eroded state of liberty which Aloy needs to scale like one of those walking towers or a crumbling Mount Rushmore.

I am probably just overthinking it all, so don't mind me.

See, I've thought the opposite about the focus of the game on the Americas. The Guerrilla team is definitely not American, they are based in Europe. I thought the focus of the game geographically was more culturally driven. Europe has been devastated by two World Wars, which the effects of are still seen and sometimes experienced today. I thought they didn't want to market a game showing a yet again (and worse!) devastated Europe, so the focus on North America was both to provide a geographically huge area they could utilize as well as putting the devastation and decay on North America for a change, which has never really been touched by those terrible world events in the past.

I had actually assumed that the first game was situated in mid or Eastern Europe just from some of the flavors of things, until you find the football stadium. Then the location being North America was pretty obvious. Also, from the game story, it's North America that creates the force that ends the human race, so....not exactly a "Go G.I. Joe!" type of plot. The themes of technical innovation killing, both on purpose and unintentionally, the power madness that drives the invention...all of that. Actually pretty damning on "American culture" if you ask me. But then again, I live here and don't have as much exposure to anti-American sentiment as a lot of people in other countries do. I still saw that message though. But you know what? Despite it all....it's just a game. Just entertainment. Sure there can be some morals and story to take to heart, but no one should really put a lot of stock in things that come from these games.

I have to say I have xbox and will be getting th he next one with that being said ratchet n clank looks amazing I really hope xbox July event have something that looks like that

Xbox will no doubt have their own little gems, if your a halo fan i seriously hope they deliver.
Fable should be great if the company is not rushed.
As i have said before, xbox pass worries me in terms of them needing new constant content to feed to their subscribers.

That being said, outside of maybe Forza on the xbox, i struggle to see games being on the same level as the Horizon zero dawn 2 or the new god of war,, what i have seen from Rachet and horizons the last few days beggars belief.

But who knows, i am one fish with an opinion and their are billions like me in the sea.

I absolutely agree that the XSX will have some fantastic games. People who get an Xbox will not be sad, that's for sure! Now, I don't expect Microsoft to be able to compete in quality and volume (overall) against Sony's first party developers, at least not yet. But they seem to be building in house development again after having gone thru that mind boggling cycle where they were closing and spinning them off. It looked like they were getting out of the game there for a while, then suddenly started buying development teams again. So I think it will take them a while to really get firing on all cylinders. That being said, I'm sure they will still have some just stunning titles to show off as well. Good time to be gaming!

If you can afford both, go for it. Or maybe in the future? Some go like base PS4 then X1X, or base Xbox One then PS4 Pro. Could work out for you. That Kena game is timed exclusive, so probably a year after will be released on Xbox.

I'm starting to get concerned on pricing after seeing that Eurogamer article. Sony really sounds a little arrogant to me almost like PS3 era again. I interpreted their "value" as saying it's value over a similar gaming PC. They're absolutely correct as it would be more expensive. I'm think 600+ usd is a very real possibility here. No mention of anything like smart delivery or an all access plan similar to Microsoft. I hope I'm wrong that's starting to scream arrogance especially the part where he said games are proven to be recession proof. Oh boy. Yeah, world economy in the shitter, people struggling, uncertain projections, second wave virus imminent and you're talking about being recession proof? Seemed like damage control for when the price does get revealed.

I knew when I saw the digital PS5 that told me right there the price is going to be high on the disc one. It seems stupid in this uncertain times they'd push the price on consumers when they can offset it easily subsidized in many ways. If it's over 600 I think I'm passing. They'll probably price the digital $100 cheaper with no differences other than the disc drive. $100 less doesn't offset the disc drive since they're so cheap but the idea is likely to funnel you into digital-only which is a way to subsidize costs. If all you could play is digital it's win for Sony because they get royalties on every purchase off their marketplace. They also eliminated second hand games which is more revenue for everyone. That's what they want us all to get and I'm not going that route as a collector. That's why it will be inevitably much cheaper than it should be over the disc PS5 because they want all of us to go digital cutting retails out.

How ironic they had an entire PR campaign against Xbox One for the very thing they're doing now. A different era now so it's more acceptable I just found that part funny.

I'm still psyched for it. Then again, I'm a 'Souls-like' addict. Hard core. Godfall LOOKS like it's Dark Souls with loot boxes. So far, I'm all in. But we'll see. It looks pretty cool so far.

The only thing I wished they showed more of was Beasts or massive bosses, most foes seemed to be very humanoid in their appearance.

I think the very first video we saw had a hydras shadow up in the clouds, give more Monsters,

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
The diversity conversation is not only about videogames, and is not about being self centered. It is about more accurately reflecting the demographics that play those games. Like how a 2018 study shows that, out of al games presented at E3 only 8% of game protagonists are female, yet 40-45% of gamers are women.
If that's the case I believe I've only been represented once in my 30 years of gaming.
I know a girl who loves Superman, not interested in Supergirl though.
Representation matters little in related to a story or character.
Unless you need something to for self worth
And if that's the case you probably need something more then a character that looks and likes the things the same as you do.

Flight simulator? Flight simulator?? Haha you mean tht game tht is based off cloud and dependant on your bandwitch thts just a flight simulator gane tht looks decent to good for what it is? 😂😂

You guys kill me lol Horizon one tht is open world, tons of npcs, lush world's, bosses, etc looks better than tht and thts playable right now on PS4. Please don't compare a simulator game tht are doing diff things to other games.

You know it's bad when ppl have to reference flight simulator lol tht was shown on high end pc and still falls short.

Just noticed two Neo members in last few days spreading nonsense and fud lol 😂 😂 😂
Flight Simulator has been a thing for flight enthusiasts on PC for decades, but for the average gamer, it's just plain boring: you takeoff, you fly to your destination while sightseeing and making a few maneuvers, you land. And that's it.

And to talk about graphics on a game with no concerns to AI, characters rendering, real-time action and many other features that load CPU/GPU is too easy.
