Lying in trailers is taboo in games because normally it's used to make a game seem more graphically impressive or feature rich than it is, movies have been pulling the sort of bait and switch TLOU II's marketing does for ages to hide their plot twists or disguise them, it sure beats the trailers for movies where the whole plot is laid bare.

Like DForce said above digital HAS TO BE higher for this entry than the games people are comparing it to with this covid shit.

Abby was not part of the game, just a generic victim of Joel wrath like could be any other on Ellies path now. Man, I seriously doubt anyone bought a copy who was on the fence because of the dog thing. And what they said was still generally true. Do you understand what plot is...? The theme is revenge, the plot which are the main events of the story are clearly spelt out to you in the game through flashbacks and the first game. This is not a complicated story to understand. Hell this game is much more or a revenge story than mgsv

It was probably not intentional. You can't keep an eye on your dog 24/7, especially if you leave the dog at home and go to work. This may be a case of not training your dog properly, but that's a different topic.

Thats your opinion but the plot of tlou p2 for me was one of the best revenge stories and experiences of loss in a game I have yet played anywhere else. Unlike mgsv this actually gave me a great story of revenge, hate and loss

If the narrative respected the audience maybe more people will feel the same. But the plot asked you to give it a pass over and over and over. At that point you can't help but feel the writer lost control of his work. Niel was desperate to hit pre-set pivotal plot points that he repeatedly ignored the setting up of these events.

Where did it ask you to give a pass, the first game is directly linked to the second, if anything there are no free passes in tlou universe from what we know. These are their characters and they can do with them what they will. Honestly there was no other way to handle the situation, it needed to happen and at the beginning as well, the story is of hate and revenge, you cant have that if there is no feeling of hate and lust for revenge. Like, video games are plotted differently by necessity because they're all gargantuan compared to other forms of narrative storytelling. think about a trip to, I don't know, let's say Bahamas. The sights, the swimming, the coconut beverages... it's all so wonderful you decide to register for posterity with a head-mounted camera

you go back home and bring in friends to watch your wonderful trip... and all the stuttering and wild turns in the footage make it nauseating and unwatchable

that's VR videos is a nutshell. The trip is well worth it, watching it is not.

Well, Switch doesn't have enough games, and got lots of of switches sold. TLOU2 is a semi-short experience, won't rival MP games but it did pretty impressive.

MP= Multiplayer. You can't compete with those without having some sort of MP implemented. The Uncharted 4 MP was pretty good, not at the level of the MP giants, but extends the life of the game and adds more worth to your money especially for people who have tight budgets.
