Well I don't count Godfall, since that's not an exclusive. So indeed 7 against 10, so mostly non exclusive games. What's so wrong with saying that? The games that are non-exclusive games are huge (Fifa, RDR, Overwath, CoD) so it's not like that's a bad thing. Although most of them are just graphic improvements, but looking forward to Overwatch 2 and the HP game
Wait you don't count Godfall because it's also releasing on PC ?
Really? But I guess that you counted timed exclusives for Xbox right ?

What a terrible video, production wise. Content wise, it's just meh.

The new tech is at a point where any games are possible. But, at the same time we are not dropping previous gen hardware with its limitations for next 2 years. Like what? No idea what he means by the second quote.

Talk about contradicting yourself in same interview, bizarre times over at MS. No idea, what they are doing with these quotes.
Yep, great way to demonstrate hardware won't limit devs with that Halo gameplay, way to go, Matt!!

And what the heck is this:

'However, Booty says that developer 343 Industries has been closely guided by the Halo community during the game’s creation. “343 works with dedicated insider groups that are always giving them feedback,” he says. '

They must have used feedback from the Discord gang, to them everything was fine, explains it all.

Sony marks the difference between PS4 and PS5 boxes
Microsoft does the opposite once again

EeCMWTnXYAEyslr

So, on the one hand Sony are clearly defining which version you need to buy depending on the console you own, on the other Microsoft are trying to make it easy to just pick up one box and go. Microsoft’s approach is certainly cheaper production wise... but surely the actual game is going to have to be completely downloaded, given that it’ll be vastly different in size depending on which console you’re buying?

It's fanboy-ish, and that's not the important part, extreme LOD/stream flaws shown in action, part from other flaws shown in previous "longer" videos that such people avoid like some kind of poison instead of investigating them and try to learn something out of them.
Meh. Nothing has more educational value than Alex's MSPaint scribbles.

Also, I had no idea that the lighting in Horizon Zero Dawn was so bad, until Alex explained why. Thank the DF gods for revealing the truth beyond what our eyes can see!

The truth is, the poor lighting is doing Halo Infinite models and textures no favors. Better lighting goes such a long way! Thank you Alex :messenger_smiling_hearts: .

STATE OF PLAY AUGUST 6TH LEAK

👀👀👀
I feel like Vagrant Story 2 has been teased since the day I beat the game. I have given up all hope of ever seeing a sequel to my favorite PS1 game. This one line item pretty much invalidates the entire list. VG2 will never happen. Let's not keep opening this wound. The younger me still pines for a sequel.

You can sign up on a different country's ps now. Hopefully you have multiple psn accounts, and if not, do it. That's a free life hack advice :p
Yeah, I can use my USA account to subscribe to PS Now and download PS4 games right now, but to know I have half a service and need to buy PSN credits in US dollars, more expensive than local currency prices due to exchange rates, is really underwhelming. If Sony really want to improve PS Now, they should begin expanding to more regions.

Still, you’d think it wouldn’t be enough under certain situations where distinctive assets are separate between version. If Xbox One takes 50gig, you’d expect XsX to use more. Dunno

So you'd have extra 50GB for higher quality assets XBX version. Because it's not like there's gonna be two completely separate versions, some of the assets would be shared between 1S, 1X and XBX anyway, there's no reason to duplicate them again for different version.

Frankly speaking, it makes we wonder if PS5 disk is incompatible with PS4? Other way is mostly confimed by now, but if games are cross gen, can you put PS5 disk inside PS4? Not clear enough.
It’s pretty simple. PS5 discs can only be used on PS5. PS4s have regular Blu-ray drives, but PS5 has a UHD Blu-day drive. Sony has said PS5 games will use 100 GB Blu-rays, which can’t be read by the PS4‘s disc drive. So only PS5 can read PS5 discs, but PS4 discs can be used on PS4 or PS5.

With Xbox it’s less clear, cause the disc has to be a regular 50 GB Blu-ray in order to work with all Xbox Ones. The 2013 OG Xbox One has a regular Blu-ray drive. So, if the game is in that “Xbox” cross gen case, then the game disc is not a 100 GB disc. So will some Xbox Series X games use 100 GB discs that can’t be used on Xbox One? Or will it just use the same discs as the Xbox One has been using?

It’d be funny if there is a big 3rd party cross gen game that’s on PS4, PS5, XOne, and XSX, but because Xbox wants 1 disc to work across generations, the game might have to be 2 discs, where as the PS5 disc can hold twice as much data as a PS4 disc. I think RDR2 was 2 discs on PS4 / Xbox One right?

I still don’t think Xbox has said if the Series X will use 100 GB discs, or just regular Blu-rays as the PS4 and Xbox One use.

I'm beginning to think there is no Series S. There's not enough room on that black strip to fit Xbox Series S text and would they also try to stick an "Optimized for Series S" sticker on the box as well? Maybe XCloud is doing better than expected and that will be the alternative to XSX.
Lockhart will probably just not play discs. Digital only, so no need for it to be on box art. Game Pass is digital only, so Xbox will probably want to make a digital only console to push Game Pass.

It’ll all be downloads. You’ll essentially be buying the disc to enable the actual download of the full game.

I guess that means Ps5 players might get to the actual installed game quicker, if it’s all on their disc, and XBox gamers will have to wait for the download to finish, but that’ll be the only difference.

August State of Play?

That's confusing as hell... Unified box with both PS4 and PS5 logos would've been better.

It is as seen on PC with RT on vs RT off... Anyway, nothing is stopping them for putting both versions on the disc, or at least store the PS5 patch on PSN so once the disc is booted on the PS5 the game gets properly updated.
How is it confusing? If you have a PS5 you buy the one for PS5. Lol it’s the most straight forward thing ever. It helps differentiate the consoles.

This happens if you try to add a CC to a foreign account, probably because addresses don't match. If you know how, please share. I'd like to test PS Now.
Of course :)
Purchase PSN funds through Amazon of the country you want the account to relate to. I.e. if you're in Europe, sign up for US Amazon. Purchase digital psn card and redeem it on your playstation account.

That's all, pretty simple :D

No, they always do this. I think mostly for multiplayer though. They always include them in the process of making the videogame, why do you think the Halo 5 MP was so good compared to the SP?

It'd be more fun if you head over to the xbox OT and tell them that in your opinion Xbox has no exclusives at all...

Should be fun! :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy: :messenger_tears_of_joy:
Thank you for clarifying that my post was easily understandable ... which @X-Fighter didn't.
So I'm making it clearer. If a game also releases on PC then it's not an exclusive according to said poster.
Following that logic Xbox has no exclusives at all.
I also wanted to add that timed exclusives aren't exclusives like FFVIIR is not an exclusive according to your standards(we are not sure about an xbox version but the Pc version is rulling it as non exclusive)

PS: Id like to Bo and co to have an opinion on my nickname and PIC profile

First thing I saw your nickname and avatar that this guy is into some deep thinking. Imagine if we we're stuck in the mentality of our ancestors, not like they were bad, but they were good for that time, excluding manners and other things that don't change overtime. With every generation there are new challenges, and you need new solutions to tackle them, or tweak some of the previous ones. :messenger_relieved:

Pretty smart avatar and nickname, and sums up how dumb MS approach is in the form of an alien gorilla, aka Craig.🦍

Indeed... I thought it was clear that Xbox didn't have any exclusives since they also release on PC. Is this new information to you? This has been said million times already, because now people can say "Oh look there's no reason to have an Xbox since I can play their titles on my gaming PC".

Btw, I understood your post perfectly, but when you say "I guess that you counted timed exclusives for Xbox right ?", you better quote me or don't say something silly as if I don't understand that Xbox doesn't have exclusives.

Elsewhere, the demo footage of Halo: Infinite, which is taking a more open-world approach than previous titles, also drew mixed reactions from fans. Twitter debates raged for hours after the presentation, with some feeling the art direction made the visuals look flat, while others felt the gameplay looked dated compared with contemporary shooters.

However, Booty says that developer 343 Industries has been closely guided by the Halo community during the game’s creation. “343 works with dedicated insider groups that are always giving them feedback,” he says. “They’re as plugged in as any team could be to feedback from core fans, from the esports community, and from people who have seen what they’ve done with the Halo: Master Chief collection. Games of the genre have evolved and moved forward. The art of game design is figuring out what feedback you’re going to incorporate, where to strike a balance, and I think they’re well plugged into a big community to do that.”...

Ummm... What?

Someone should get that plug out of that Booty.

And if you have a PS4 you buy the PS4 version, sure, but what when you decide to get a PS5? People will most likely think they'll need to buy the game again, except with the box that says PS5 on it.
Nah it’s not that complex, the PS5 can play PS4 discs. I was like 12 years old and I understood that my Nintendo Wii played GameCube games too. People can get these things. A Blu-ray player can also play DVDs, but a DVD player can’t play Blu-rays. It’s fairly simple.

Will games that use less than 50 GB still be released on 100 GB discs? I believe there will be a lot of indies that do not need so much space even considering 4K textures etc.
