I wonder how much better 3rd party games would have to be on xbox series x to make the reported 85 percent who want to buy the ps5, change their minds.

December of the last year:

-Just looks that Hellblade trailer looks so real (a game running in engine, 24 fps, far of be 4k)

A couples a weeks ago (PS5 event):

-Is that all? this will be an easy win for Xbox, the people always buy the console with the best graphics(meanwhile Switch sold more per week than PS4+Xbox one)

Few days before the Xbox conference

-Even Halo will looks better than any PS5 exclusive (the people who think crossgen doesn't hold anything and the TF delta means all)

Xbox conference:

-Halo doesn't look as good as the PS4 exclusives because the important thing is the 4k 60 fps (up 4k, looks average for even this gen and RT will affect the performance)

-Medium looks as real next gen tile (good AA game, running to 30fps because now doesn't matter)

After the conference:

-You people hate Xbox, we never say nothing toxic and we are sure now Xbox will have next gen titles (be a fanboy is not something to be proud and the next gen title are +2022)

XSX looks like a great console, with a good increase of power and for that deserve a better launch title than Halo in that state, which use that power but until now I just see a company
using its time to sell Gamepass not the XSX, if you have a good PC or Xbox one X then is not worth to buy (until now) a console of +$500 USD and if your biggest studio fails in
deliver a game which use the XSX while is crossgen then what will happens this 2021, we have to buy a console which main games should release until 2022 and we have to
remember they showed titles in pre production state, so for this games will pass at least 3 years (2023) that is basically the half of this gen.

This gen, it'd be gnawing away at me. But now at the end, I really don't give a fig. I prefer trophies to achievements and the haptics in the DualSense should make it different than the Xbox controller. I'll be sticking with PS5 regardless if it's 1440p v 4K again.

The pre-order section of the video was funny. Sony has proved within each generation that they are able to dominate the market in some fashion. As MLID has said, if you're waiting this long to play chicken with MS, then you're probably admitting that they're fierce competition in some aspect.

If I were Sony, I'd announce the price and pre-orders at the next event. Go as low as you can on the price and call it a day. MS may still undercut, but let the games do the talking. If it were vice versa for MS, if they went $399 for SX, then Sony can only match with the PS5.

I don't believe either company should be scared. Maybe COVID has a big part in this hold off.

Then xbox may be even worse this time even though its likely to be the more noticeably powerful machine.

Is there anything xbox can do at least get 50 percent of sales?
I could be wrong but they should stay strong in USA. Sony only leads by about 4 to 5 million consoles here.. The XBOX brand is as American as the Fourth of July.

Think about all the high qyality AAA exclusives PS gave us this round and the lack of them on XBOX. The consoles are almost tied here. 32.5 million for PS and 27.7 for XBOX.

The marketing push will be interesting. The real console war comes soon when media and gamers choose their side and push what brand they want to see succeed. Also the advertising dollars they both throw out.

The console warring will get real bad the closer we get to launch and I wouldnt want to be a moderator of any forum. The ban page will move fast. LMAO I cant wait to see it unfold.

Yeah you’re right. Only reason to stick with 50 GB discs could just be cost. Maybe they’re cheaper to print. I think they want people to focus on Game Pass anyways, which doesn’t use discs obviously, so maybe they don’t care about discs as much.
I think the only reason to stick with 50 GB discs is to have at least some playable version of the game in physical media form, even if the real next-gen version will be downloaded. People still expect physical games on console to be more than a license key.

I am so torn, not at Xbox vs ps5 but at this beautiful image vs Amanda Cerny. Life has some seriously tough choices. "lollipop_disappointed:

Wait what?

I thought this game allowed you to switch between real and spirit world at any point during the game.

So now its only at predetermined points that you can do the switch?

Hype deflated.
No. The gameplay gimmick is splitscreen gameplay of both worlds at once. It's rendering two worlds at once. I suggest checking out the videos on bloober's YouTube channel.

Whats funny is that MS acts like they dont care about selling consoles but for some reason we have yet to see a price and constantly playing chicken with sony.

Sony marks the difference between PS4 and PS5 boxes
Microsoft does the opposite once again

I’m no graphic designer but that is a very intelligent change. It highlights their new console and the design is absolutely consistent with the white highlights of the console itself. I’d say that at least if MS’ graphical offering is clunky, etc, at least the “X” is quite noticeable as well.

Consumers will have no difficult time seeing not only the white highlight to separate from PS4 but also seeing the black “PS5” text 👌🔥.

Yes exactly! If I were truly them? I would actually say $399. That levels the playing field between the two, because Sony wouldn't push this premium PS5 down sub $399. Not even for their digital Console.

*sigh* but still, they respectively have their own agenda with games next-gen. That alone should make them feel confident on their pricing. And let the people decide what works best for them. Gamepass Vs. Next-gen gaming focus.

Well now let’s check some “discussion points” shall we?

9tf, thermal throttling, overheating.

These are points raised here and whined about continuously in the justice thread by those same people claiming over-moderation.

The thing is, these points specifically contradict official published specs.

The mods have even been very generous - the policy is that people can argue the official specs are misleading/wrong if they present evidence for their reasoning so it can be assessed.

The ban list is full of people offered that same lifeline. No one has come back that way yet.

So yeah - when people post “tech data” which is clearly contradictory to the official specs with no back up data, they are either misinformed - in which case people here very kindly correct them - or they’re trolling.

TBiddy was quoting my post which in turn was quoting a post from a forum user who was using a blanket statement to allude to the notion that an Xbox fan lacks the technical knowledge that a Sony fan would have.

It's a stupid and pathetic thing to even try and claim a "win" with, more so when you consider that the "battleground" on which such beliefs are being espoused on, is one made up of chunks of plastic and electronics used to play digital toys on.

People need to grow the fuck up and realise these things used for passing away a bit of time with are ultimately, not that important in the big scheme of things, and nowhere near important enough to use as a means to belittle the intelligence of others.

Xbox Series X: Phil Spencer Sparks Speculation About August Event

Speaking on iJustine's Same Brain podcast, Spencer discussed the work of the backwards compatibility team on Xbox Series X, and praised their work on optimizing older games for the next-gen console. He then added: "I'm encouraged to be able to talk more about it - should be August. I think August we'll have more to say on that."

More Craig memes incoming. 😏

I'm fairly certain there's more in this talk than just this blurb, but...let me get this straight.

You just flubbed your next-gen showcase(predominantly) and with your upcoming next-gen event, the big talking points memo is discussing "how much better your OLD games will play??"

What is this marketing? Is it next-gen? I'm a big fan of BC, but focusing on that is just..oof.

I think people(even many Xbox fans) have indicated they want something more out of what's under that hood after you made such a big deal for 6-8 months.

The only way Playstation gamers switch to Xbox is if their friends are on Xbox. You're asking if they will switch to Xbox and give up god of war, horizon, spiderman, bloodborne and others for a few more pixels
And people will leave PS for what? Halo Infinite in that state? All their true next gen games are 2-3 years away in best case scenario. What is left are Gamepass fillers, timed exclusives and third party games with negligible difference between both consoles.

At 2:13:52 he outright confirms Bloodborne is coming to PC. That's a bold claim. He also said PS5 exclusives won't be coming to PC any time soon due to needing too much RAM (around 32GB) and a high end SSD.
Edit: And they seem to be sure that PS3 BC will come sooner or later to PS5. At 2:28:46 NX Gamer says "In fact, I actually know there is [someone working on a PS3 emulator]" which I may have misunderstood the context, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

First thing I saw your nickname and avatar that this guy is into some deep thinking. Imagine if we we're stuck in the mentality of our ancestors, not like they were bad, but they were good for that time, excluding manners and other things that don't change overtime. With every generation there are new challenges, and you need new solutions to tackle them, or tweak some of the previous ones. :messenger_relieved:

Pretty smart avatar and nickname, and sums up how dumb MS approach is in the form of an alien gorilla, aka Craig.🦍

Thats excelent!

Im glad You like It! 😂
