That a bit of solace, a lot of negativity surrounding this game, yeah it looked pretty bad, but at this point the buzz is way out of control.

I remember when they said there was no way they'd ship parts of the game separably to only then have Phil admit that they had discussed it later.

This same community manager also said there were no issues going on inside 343 after the lead producer & creative director left.

He also said before the reveal Halo was “beautiful “

His word is assolid as Phils

Of course theyre going to deny everything until there is an official statement from MS
2021 can still be late December. Don't see why they would need more than a year unless they are scrapping everything. The demo was ugly but I refuse to believe 5 yrs of development was the culmination of that mess and nothing more. Fingers crossed though could be wrong again

2022 is probably a rumor.

But it’s not like 2021 is a lock either. With development this turbulent who really knows how it’s going to go? Not even 343 employees are going to be able to see that far out.

What was shown was enough of a mess that I can't see anything short of starting over, without an XO version, fixing it.

If they stick wth the crossgen plans, then it probably will ship next year, and be a disappointing mess.

If they do the right thing and go next gen only, then we'll see another delay announced next year.

says GAF is a racist board but still wants to be a part of it...
Pretty clear, but we've heard the same reassuring narrative after the Halo Infinite gameplay reveal. Then the game was delayed...

343 deny until the last minute when reality slaps them across the face and they start damage control - these clowns were telling us taht we were going to be blown away up until the moment of the latest trailer release - no one living in reality could actually have believed that (or would have at least shut the fuck up).

I don't even understand how this trainwreck is going to release in 2021. At this point, they need to drop the 60fps target and figure out a plan on how to put out a top notch Halo on Series X; current gen is no longer relevant. Best case scenario for that will be holiday 2022 It's already delayed so just make it good.

I'm a diehard Halo and Xbox fan, and I cant see how they could possibly improve the game visually in just a year. Textures were flat. Models of the characters weren't detailed. Escharum looked terrible compared to character models we've seen on current gen hardware. I thought the grapple looked clunky. I don't know. It's been such a long time since we've had a mainline Halo game. I expected more. They would have to rebuild a lot of assets to get it looking where I would want it.

>Halo Infinite the best it can be
>No plan on dropping the Xbox One

Really wouldn't believe anything they say. Last year when directors left they acted like and said it has no impact on development

The hyperbole going around is just ridiculous. A mess!? It looked like what I'd expect an open world 60fps Halo game to look like on the Xbox One.

What exactly was a "mess" about it?
