Oh like DLSS? Yeh, it would depend on whether they go with Nvidia or AMD as the marketing partner for the game.

They've been inconsistent so far with this. Went with Nvidia for Death Stranding but then went for AMD for Horizon. Considering how Horizon turned out I hope they go with Nvidia for optimisations this time round.

I mean using it for everything like Cyberpunk. Global Illumination, Ambient Occlusion, Shadows, Reflections, and Emissive Textures. The whole package.

Daily reminder that exclusivity is a bad thing. The more platforms a game releases on, the better. You gain nothing but fake value via exclusivity.

Without that fake value Sony is out of the hardware game, and definitely out of the cloud game. And the fanboys know it.

I just bought the LG 48" CX tv and set it up on my L shaped desk next to my PC and ultrawide gaming monitor. The RTX 3080 will have hdmi 2.1 so I'll just use my tv to play demon souls at 120fps. I'm loving this generation of gaming.

Yeah I'll bet you ten thousand dollars that releasing games on PC as well is not going to put the PlayStation out of the hardware business. I spend more on my working computer than probably 99.999% of PC gamers and I don't touch PC gaming with a ten foot pole because it's a pain in the rear to me. I'd get Flight Sim on Xbox X and Demons Souls on PS5 before ever touching them on a PC. It's called convenience and playing on the form factor I like (a massive tv with a good sound setup).

PS5 is going to do just fine. And it's also just fine that these more of these games will release for PC. For the people that prefer that platform, it's great for them.

That stuff isn't "rtx"... It's just rendering that can be done using hardware accelerated ray tracing. As long as the graphics card has some form of ray tracing hardware then it's actually hardware agnostic so will be able to run on the next line of AMD GPU's as well.

None of that is exclusive to Nvidia, they are just very good at marketing it in a way that makes you think it is. DLSS is the only thing that is actually exclusive to them and requires direct communication with Nvidia in order to get it implemented in your game. The rest can be done in DX12.
