Sony is flexing hard with the games and i think their main problem will be not enough stock for at the first year to 18 months , not a bad problem to have really. However, while they dont need to spend 7.5 billion to keep up, I do feel like they need to make some big moves in terms of studios and IP acquisitions. Instead of buying publishers out whole sale, I do wonder if some would be willing to part with certain teams if the price was right? For example would kadawaka or whatever be willing to part with from software for a billion dollars? Or Koie Tecmo for with team ninja? Maybe that should the strategy sony pursues?

This looks great, but definitely doesn’t look like the performance mode footage just uploaded.

The reflections on those windows actually look really good considering the gameplay is at 60 FPS.

*says that immediately after complaining about how RT can be overrated at times.

The thumbnail may not be from the 60 fps mode, and also looks to be from a cutscene and or the new photomode. In the 60fps gameplay they don't really show off any reflections, It might be back to SSR and Cube maps. The shadows did look really crisp, so maybe Shadow RT in 60 fps?

This isn't a gameplay shot 100%

I was referring to the first 10-15 seconds of the gameplay, you could be right, I looked back at the gameplay from the PS4 and those reflections seem similar, it could just be the higher resolution on the PS5 makes them look better.

I feel like I’m going crazy. Does this Footage not look exactly like the PS4 Pro except at 60fps?

Well I can't see the remaster treatment too much either. I guess if you would stop and look at some reflections maybe there would be some significant change. I mean hairs and faces got more details but... I don't care bout them. PS4 version faces were already hiper-detailed.

Its photo mode.
SPIDERMAN ON PS4 in photomode also had much better graphic than in motiom.

For people who is frustrated with new model, Sony already confirmed it before the release.

I haven't seen the original but if the guy on the left Nathan Drake 1.5 is the old one, then I'm all for the new one. Way better looking. And based on Spider-Man, I'm tipping back towards getting a PS5 first.

watch the gameplay footage. the game looks nothing like that bullshot.
It's not a bullshot. People need to actually read the video title. It says clearly "performance mode". Now, why would they point out which mode it is in the video?

Performance mode is stripped-down, as already stated by Insomniac. The screenshots are almost certainly from the enhanced mode that runs at 30fps. This isn't super-complicated, so I don't know if people are being intentionally obtuse. If Insomniac released only enhanced gameplay, people would ask to see the performance mode. And vice-versa. I assume they released performance mode, because it's in a better state of readiness right now. It's most likely the same as PS4 Pro @ 60fps, with some enhanced textures, models, and lighting here and there.

I imagine MM and the remaster should look identical in quality in their various modes. I don't think it was ever confirmed which mode we saw of MM. For all we know, it might well have just been performance mode that was running then too, seeing as I don't remember there being any windows to show reflections during that demo. Performance mode in this video clearly lacks the same reflections we see in the still. It's only reflecting the background, but not the player.

Its really not difficult is it. People are so ready to shit on this that they don't even read the article.
