Yea i played about 11 hours already. There's a ton of customization options, and unlockables. Not too hard or grindy too. Loving it. Can't believe SP released this for free. This can easily be 20-30 bucks on its own. With this update, this game has officially become my GOTY along with P5 Royal. Don't miss out guys. Playing coop with my friends was so fun.

Its awesome. I beat all Bronze story chapters, and the first survival on bronze. I should do Silver story I guess.

I made it through the first island and shelved it because I was going to wait for a PS5. That doesn't look like its happening so I think I'll start again tonight. Great game so far.

There are some classes which will have unlocks from the main game, but some you will have to earn from playing legends only.

It's a great update, but calling it the "best free update of all time" simply makes it feel that this is that YouTuber's first rodeo.

Love this mode. Co op story mission are actually pretty great. Doing them on Silver right now. Around 60lvl so far

I'd argue probably not, for example the original Team Fortress Classic was a free update for owners of Half-Life or the original Wolfenstien Enemy Territory which was given free to everyone as an updated version of multiplayer for Return to Castle Wolfenstien.
"greatest free update ever" has alot of contenders especially if you reach back into history before the AAA's realised they could shaft there consumer and then have them defend them for it.

It's great (some dev could have easily charged for it). I remember the days when we had something like Uncharted 2 around. Single-player, Multiplayer and CO-OP in one package Day One.

Yeah... It's sad to see what ND decided to do from TLU on (selling shitty thingies for the online part), Uncharted 4 online is great, but the online microtransactions are sooo silly... While Ghost has zero microtransactions, with all the skins that the games has, I am sure that in the hands of ND, they would add paid loot boxes and battle passes.... Ghost of Tsushima is probably the most complete game of this gen.
A full single player experience + a full coop experience with no extra pay wall.
I bet that some studios reacted this way:

This expansion is crazy good for a free rollout. Im surprised at how much there is here and how much fun it is to be playing with a group. Dense group encounters do become a bit of a cluster fuck which leads to random deaths but overall this is great.
The story missions really do change quite a bit once you start upping the difficulty and it goes from just being a mad run through enemies to a much slower more tactical pace. You die really really quick when you just rush some of these groups.
How do you do the special emote though? I know swiping on the pad will bow, play the flute, etc but how do you perform the ones you unlock?

Hold Left on the D-Pad then you can select 3 dialogue/callouts and then your selected emote.

There are missions you can play solo or co-op. It has a little story and narration, but nothing major or characters etc. Some are simply clearing areas, while others require more specific/unique things to be done. These are Legends only, and not in the Single-Player mode.

Please explain to a Tsushima fanboy who doesn't do multiplayer. Why is Legends being so warmly recieved but something like Avengers is not?

They need to at least have an unlock option for the PS4 version, right now both Pro versions are locked to 30fps so the PS5 won't do much.

Legends has better combat, better graphics, better performance, better sound.
Of course it's still not a full game you know, it's basically free DLC.
Still better than that janky mess Avengers.

It will be up to 60fps with game boost, that was announced. I just don't want them to make a ps5 version a la insomniac and get screwed

I managed beat the story on Nightmare yesterday after over 6 hours of trying. But completing it to get a weekly challenge requires playing the last part with the curse that forces you and your buddy to stick close together and that's just insane. I'm not done, gonna try some of this:

To get to 80 Ki, you need to grind out Quick Play it seems? Done with Silver story, and did a silver survival but that takes an hour almost.
