Marriage can work but honestly that shit is hard and insane and people are usually more selfish then selfless. The only advice I can give from my bad experience is communicate openly, set boundaries, and be one hundred percent sure if you decide to have a child or children that you can raise them as separated co-parents.

I know many people who split and the guy usually gets the brunt of it. Although one time, the woman had to pay the guy money as she made more.
However, if going into the marriage, she makes more and has more, then go for it.
