A lot of touchy Sony folks in here, I guess sorry you feel underappreciated by Sony so much so they didn't even bother putting in proper side padding. But at least the PS5 packaging is is nicer than the packing from the new shelf you guys had to purchase to fit that gigantic "console" looking thing in.

Sony fans: Who cares, its about the games
Ms might have more powerfull hardware
Sony fans: Ssd is faster, so not true. Plus its about the games.
Ms has better backwards compatibility:
Sony fans: Who cares about old games
Ms releasing series s, more affordable system
Sony fans: Next gen ruined
Ms has better packaging:

Loved the packaging on my Switch - pure class and I felt like I was truly getting something special. It made a wonderful first impression.
After seeing the Series X unboxing it looks even classier and although packaging is hardly the most important thing, when spending $550.00 I prefer the high-end approach Xbox took to something sloppily slapped in a big cheap generic box that looks like I bought a $28.99 cordless landline phone.

If MS were smart, they would release a very limited edition of this, they always steer away from monetizing on memes, but they should.

It’s quite unbelievable that so many of you are sticking by the same position as poor old X Fighter.
You hate the other guy so much that the packaging for the Ps5 must be minimal because they are a stupid, cheap, nasty company ... not for any other reason like environmental concerns.

Better than the PS5 packing, YES hands down! Playstation has always had worse packaging compared to Xbox, that's just the honest truth. The Series X packaging presents the consoles in a much nicer way than PS does. The Series X packaging looks like the RTX 30 series packaging but not nearly as clean and nice.
The packing material both these console makers use to hold the console in place is so ugly, much better on Xbox, but I get why they use it. It's effect and it's cheap. The RTX 30 series packaging uses this dense foam material that is very nice, looks damn effective but is probably pricey!

I always thought nice unboxing tech stuff. Back in the day people used polystyrene, which is very nice to see, your console confy and shit...
From time to time things got easier to open, but got kinda ugly to see. Since the Wii, Nintendo did just a cardboard thing, and just got worst to the Wii U and Switch.
PlayStation and Xbox were the same past gen. Green shiny box, blue shiny box. It was fine. Didn't see PS5, but holy shit, Xbox Series X is a nice box. I can't wait to smell the silicon

Pick your poison. Waiting 4-8 years for quality single player exclusives for $70 plus buying other games inbetween vs having uncostly variety & a good amount of single player/co-op exclusives that most have online multiplayer too & come out much more quickly. Gamepass is worth it imo & until you try it for yourself, I wouldn't judge it.

I will cherish the xbox box forever. After taking the console out it will be played every couple weeks here and there, but the box will be on a pedestal next to my tv. I will look at it daily, imagine what our kids would look like. Giggling like a school girl everytime I enter the room and throw a glance and a cute wink at it.
