Until comparisons come out we dont know yet, its what everyone is waiting for but I suspect graphically yes, loading times possibly not.
Not seen much asin Raytracing either while PS has shown quite alot so will be interesting.

The SSD, especially once VA is fully incorporated, is going to be such a quality of gaming life improvement for Xbox console owners. I mean, graphical and framerate improvements get most of the headlines....but I might be looking forward to fast loading just as much.

Just saw that in celebration of the Mandalorian Season 2 that some Star Wars content has been heavily discounted in the Xbox Store. Just how good is Jedi Fallen Order my fellow Xbox peeps? Supposed to run a buttery smooth 60fps on XSX...and I’ve been known to be called a Star Wars nerd at various times of my life.

It's a must buy. It seems like maybe 15-20% of people don't like it for some nit picky reason but 80% is a good shot. Something I like about it is that it has the feel of a more classic gameplay reminiscent of playing Tomb Raider games when they first came out. Hard to describe but it looks great too.

Hey, happy to hear that price hikes don’t seem imminent...but once those 23 studios start dropping games on GamePass Day One....it would almost feel like stealing at the current price. But I’m not complaining or requesting a price increase! The value just seems like it’s going to get even more outrageous as we move on.
Right now...let’s see. I’ve got Ori 2, Dishonoured, The Outer Worlds, Forza Horizon 4, Hellblade 1. A Plague Taie and The Evil Within 2 all on the go...with Gears 5 and the MCC soon to come....and this is costing me, what....$120 a year?
edit: and oh yeah, don’t think I can’t wait for Quick Resume.

If you have gamepass it will soon join ea access on it, wouldn't be surprised if they have it ready for launch next month.

The limit for the £1/$1 upgrade was 3 years. To take advantage of it again you have to wait for it to completely lapse. It's unlikely that offer will still be on in 2023 (especially as Xbox becomes more popular, stronger first party output etc). Best thing we can do is get good deals early on far into the future IMO, depending how long the system let's you stock up of course.

Has there been any sort of confirmation that JFO will be on EA Play? I’m always forgetting that EA Play is coming to for GamePass subscribers. I might still jump on the Xbox Store discount though....just in case it’s not on EA Play....I’m trying to stop playing Hellblade: Senua so that I can enjoy further enhanced visuals on the XSX....but it is proving difficult to put down the controller. If games are to be argued as an art form, this game should be used as evidence. If Ninja Theory can open up the world a bit (less on-rails gameplay), tidy up the combat a bit...then the sequel might just be incredible.

Yes. It really depends on your milage, but it is not so much a game, but an experience. Basically the gameplay consists of two rather primitive elements - you solve an environment puzzle, then walk a bit and then you fight a few baddies (repeat). The fights are nowhere as complex as, let's say, Dark Souls. That said, it's main strength is the atmosphere (really, play it on headphones - it's amazing) and how the narrative unfolds. They really did a whole lot of research on mental illness and treat it with tons of nuance and empathy. I don't think the game would have worked if it was ten hours long, but at five or six that you do, it never outstays its welcome.

Jedi Fallen Order video four posts up reminded me how gorgeous that game looked. And it seems it look even better on XSX. Ascent Gamepass trailer also lookss amazing.

But in the video it says under performance mode, that the resolution is limited to 1080p for 60fps. Or is this not the case on the series x? Is it 4k60?
Otherwise, this is kind of underwhelming.

Performance mode is 1080P 60fps but EA have confirmed that it will be getting a next gen upgrade. The loading is the big thing for me dying in this game to enemies is painful.

Honestly, the 'need' for headphones is the reason that I haven't played it yet. I am just holding off buying on some 'normal' looking and good sounding xbox compatible headphone. Also want bluetooth as well.

It's not going to win any awards in looks department and, honestly, I'm not an audio expert, but I've been pretty satisfied with my Turtle Beach Stealth 600 Headphones. I've read that it is super easy to break adjusters on it, but I've been lucky so far.
