I genuinely didn’t think it would be that fast, after the other footage we’ve seen of load times... of last gen games.

Back to cartridge speeds.

Demon’s Souls is going to be heaven.

I turn off rumble in games, every game. If thats the kind of things that excite you, go for it.

It's a shame, your going to miss out on one of the biggest next-generation features.

surprises me epically as you said you like pc's. Not liking innovation sounds really strange to me.

Hopefully you try it first and see why everyone is raving about it before making your mind up. The reviews coming in from people are using words like astonishing, revolutionary, next generation and so on.

It’s not just rumble, and everybody who has tried has the same reaction. And then the QOL speed of the SSD....

I know why you don’t want it, because then you will never be able to go back!
Actually i can get one for PC. I'm being serious though, i turn off rumble, and i know its more than just rumble, but that stuff doesnt interest me. The stick placement for example, much more importnant to me.
I was laughing more at your 'Xbox is doomed if the geneal public find out how good the controller is' rhetoric i found funny.

Just joking of course. But it’s a big deal and you see it.

A man of tradition. I can respect that.
I did quite like rumble years ago, until the wire to my pad got a bit loose, and my controller would turn off everytime it rumbled. So i turned off rumble until i got a new pad, then got used to having no rumble. It felt too gimmicky after that.
If i was playing a racing game with a wheel, yeah that would be cool, but its not needed on a controller imo.

I remember deactivating rumble on every PS2 game I would play.

At the PS3 era and afterwards, I got bored and just let the damn gamepad do its thang.

But I am really interested to feel DualSense.

I think if these rumble and button feedback things were strong enough to actually make a game hard to control, (like on the really good wheels, or arcade racers) or like make it hard to push a button in, it could add a nice effect, but its never strong enough in a controller for that, so imo pointless.

Xbox fans are so predictable I can parody them a day before they become what I predict

Maybe its predictable because its true. lm no different to a lot of people, go on Steam and look at the forums when a game releases without an option to turn rumble on or off. You would be surprised i feel.

one needs to tick all the boxes to be qualified. it's a rigorous process. are you sure you can survive the discord training camp? :messenger_grimmacing_

I've been around these parts since PS3 launched without rumble. That certainly wasn't the mantra of Xbox fans then

Maybe you'd be surprised how many people consider it an integral element to the controller experience

I've turned rumble off ever since I started wearing a wedding band. The vibration against my ring during some games drove me nuts.

But I'm excited as hell to experience the DualSense.

I’m afraid the closer we get to launch the more I feel XBox is a continuation of the old, while Ps5 is the start of the new. If that perception sticks with the general public.....
It's exactly what HeisenbergFX4 been telling us for a while.

I have said it a few times and the first time I got some nasty PMs here for it.

The XSX is an amped up Xbox One and thats still great.

PS5 is a next gen console.

My goodness, the game loads instantly.

That fast, very fast.

And it's even more impressive considering this is a launch title, as SSD I/O tech is new and devs will just keep learning new tricks to make even more impressive stuffs with "almost inexistent" loading time and such.

We won't say it enough, but yes, again Marc Cerny wasn't joking around when he was talking about those aspects.

So, no idea then?

Oh, Pun.... :lollipop_pensive:

Here’s what they had to do for the remake:

re-record all music
Re-record all dialogue
Re-record all sound effects
Recreate every existing asset
Create new assets
Create new animations
Create new modes
Create new textures
Create new lighting
Make it all run at 4K / 60fps

...and that’s off the top of my stupid head.

Three year production schedule.

I bet this cost as much as a lot of brand new games to make.

And I bet the put as much work into Demons Souls as they would on a new game too.

Dont think it’s really fair to dismiss all of that as being less than making a new game.
Open invitation! I'm inviting ALL devs on Gaf, even better pretty much anyone that can do music, graphics and code.
We will remake Metal Gear Solid and IntentionalPun IntentionalPun will be the Manager/Producer. He said it's really easy. We should use Unreal and port to phones as well.

People might respect him more if he wasn’t always acting like the guy from Napoleon Dynamite when responding to people’s questions..

I think it is bloodborne in the UI.
Maybe i'm thinking too much into this, but Bluepoint as said that they are working in this remake for three years, that is the time to make a AAA game more or less nowadays, but for a remake i think is too much.

Then i remenber this tweet were they say "A symphony of rumors - not one, but two" maybe in this three years they make two remakes and not one.....they may be saving a surprise from us.

Could that be the surprise John was talking about?
