i am not a pixel counter, but someone in dev team and a pro tech analysis saying that version is 1440p is for sure more reliable than some fanboy on a forum pixel counting a image off a video 😆😆😆 get a grip kid

people like you are why twitter is a hell hole with bunch of ignorant idiots dont value expertise and facts

"Xbox Series X|S are the only next-generation consoles with full hardware support for all the RDNA 2 capabilities AMD showcased today.

AMD’s latest RDNA 2 architecture delivers a significant increase in performance and efficiency over previous architectures, as well as adding new hardware acceleration capabilities including hardware accelerated DirectX Raytracing, Mesh Shaders, Sampler Feedback and Variable Rate Shading."

That's what they actually said, full hardware support for Raytracing, Mesh Shaders, Sampler Feedback and VRS. Obviously you don't need infinity cache to support those revealed features or AMD wouldn't put their name to it.
I talked about this earlier, Microsoft is talking about DirectX 12 Ultimate features that is supported by RDNA 2 GPUs.
It has nothing to do with RDNA 2 except for support to work. It's supported on Nvidia 2000 and 3000 series GPUs.

Microsoft should be saying Xbox is the only RDNA 2 console that supports DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Microsoft played us all.

They said hardware support. DX12 is software. Hope this helps bud.

awe Tom, “Thou shalt not bear false witness”

Actually, I know this is a gaming forum so you guys don't really know Tom Warren. But he is not a Microsoft fan. He covers Microsoft because it makes money for him. He owns Apple products. His main laptop is a MBP. He doesn't really use Microsoft products outside in his personal life. He is highly critical of Microsoft and is one of the first to post "scandals".

Did the months of believing the PS5 would be a 13TF beast with 24 GB of HBM2 not impact how much absolute bullshit you guys believe it all?

Honestly I've seen both sides believe in absolute bullshit. Like the bullshit that the PS5 was going to be an underpowered broken system.

Don't you ever learn?

As I said many times before the proof will be in the games.

These are all part of DirectX 12 U as Loxus Loxus showed.

"Xbox Series X|S are the only next-generation consoles with full hardware support for all the RDNA 2 capabilities AMD showcased today"

No other console apart from MicroSofts uses DirectX Raytracing, which is part of the "RDNA 2 capabilities AMD showcased today".
Therefore, they can say Xbox Series X|S are the only next-generation consoles with full hardware support for all the RDNA 2 capabilities AMD showcased today and technically not be lying.

Microsoft said the same stuff in 2013, only console with DX api and full featutres, and how DX12 was the ultimate.

We have heard it all before. Lets wait and see what shows.

Funny how people continue to talk about xbox + dx12 + rdna2 like it is the next jesus of gaming.

Of course they can and will claim they are only one whom support "full rdna2" because dx12 features are connected into that and PS5 have different and better APIs* than dx12.

MS marketing talk clearly works almost like some cult level brainwashing

If Sony would say "PS5 is only console that support full Playstation API/hardware" it would be as stupid and obvious thing to say

*Better for closed console, maybe not better for PC+console compatibility

Anyone else wondered about the service life of the Series X|S external SSD as it's only got a new small prongs of aluminium pressing down on the case? Surely the heat generated over the space of a year of regular daily use may affect the life expectancy of it?

It's all about ethics, Microsoft knows what they are doing in the terms of Pr, trying to spin it one way and trying to make sony look bad.

Pretty disgusting from Microsoft but at this point does anyone expect any different from them.

And let's be honest here, Microsoft needs all the help they can get atm, they fucked up this generation start so badly.

They know how to play with words. Before PS5 official announcement they caled XSX the most powerful next gen console. After the announcement they decided to play it safe with most powerful Xbox ever. Of course the new gen premium xbox is the most powerful xbox ever. Why the fuck do they need to tel people about it. 😂😂😂😂

Yep, said this in the past, they need to shake up their Top CEOs positions in a years time. Get ride of people like Phil spencer and that Greenburg guy. The amount of flip-flopping, going on podcasts with known bullshiters like dealer and co, being friends with people like Timdox etc, its just gives of the wrong vibes.

I just don't trust Microsoft, they feel dishonest to me.

Nobody in dev team said that.

People talk about that 1440p render in a video when all videos published by Sony did not show a 1440p render.

They can’t show evidence of what doesn’t exists I’m afraid.

PS. I asked Dark about that supposed 1440p render video.

As I said many times before the proof will be in the games.
The textures are tesselated to death which lead to a very detailed geometry. The tesselated bricks reflect the color of light and cast shadows. If these lights are not pre baked, then I don't blame blupoint for not using RT. The game is already taxing the GPU.
It's their first game on PS5 and they are relatively a small team with less budget than SSM and ND. However, they are breaking all these limits and delivering something phenomenal. I would like from now on to see them doing their own thing instead of remaking old stuff.

They changed alot since Windows 8 😂. Remember? The OS that was supposed to work on phones, tablets, computers and servers. It works everywhere. Hardware is no longer the limit😂. Where did I hear that? It reminds me of something 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

i am just happy Sony are delivering on all fronts, they seemed to have planned this generation out really well, with incredible hardware that punches well above its weight, best controller by a country mile, best ssd, i mean those load times on spiderman.

I am actually going to stop here, but seriously, any people that are on the fence and don't know which system to get, do yourself a favor and get a ps5. Mind you i doubt we will find any neutrals left on this forum.

So we have several minutes of gameplay from Demon souls and people still cant say if it has RT or not.

Soooooo, who cares then?
get that the are best case scenarios for RT, like lots of reflective surfaces and just certain kinds of scenes that are hard to do with traditional lighting. But not every game has to do every new tech, as long as the end product delivers the creative vision the dev had in mind (and also runs well while doing so).

Its so weird that people flip out over that feature, but at the same time cant figure out whether or not ins implemented despite there being lengthy unedited gameplay clips.

I'm more interested in their Dual Sense integration. Honestly that will be my go to question for the upcoming game: "What did they do with the dual sense?" Imho a much more interesting question. I mean feeling the different kind of resistance on you shield from different enemies. Just imagine going up against a giant enemy and when he hits you the trigger just jumps out to simulate you guard breaking. So many cool things that can be done.
Cant wait to try it.

Here is another interview with Gavin Moore for Demon's Soul's from Oct 29th 2020, and again they state it does use RT, for realtime lighting.

PS5 is the generation that promises to make 4K a standard, do we have some kind of specific resolution and performance mode in Demon’s Souls?
When it comes to performance, we have added two modes. On the one hand, one that is native 4K at 30 FPS, a mode that is impressive to the eye: all active, lights for all loops, shadows, tessellation … it is magnificent. On the other hand, what we have called the performance mode, which is dynamic 4K at 60 FPS.""

Another word we’ve heard hundreds of times is ray tracing. Are we going to notice it so much? Lighting is a key element in Demon’s Souls.
Indeed, one of the novelties is ray tracing, now you will see more realistically when lightning hits a tree and sets it on fire. That is brand new and never existed in the original. Now we can do it because we have all that power with PS5. It’s great.

Demon’s Souls for PlayStation 3 is an incredibly dark game. What we have done is, after evaluating the power of the PlayStation 5, we realize that we no longer had to activate or deactivate any light source, but we have been able to include light in real time thanks to ray tracing. So every aspect of the game lighting is in real time. It is dynamic. We have used the lighting as a way to guide the player through the levels, as little hints of where to go.""

So, basically:

Multiple interviews with dev stating Demon’s Souls has ray tracing.

One translated from Spanish interview saying it doesn’t.

Kingthrash Kingthrash was listening to your podcast earlier. I think one of your guys on there was saying RT wasn't in DS. Maybe this clears it up.

I’m trying out the 3D pulses wired right now and they too punch above their weight. Lightweight and sounds very good. As always, will depend on your fit and comfort.

Don't recommend people to buy PS5, they won't find one for at least 6 months 😂
