It was hardly offensive, troll or even insulting towards trump or anyone who supports him, yet it gets called "shit posting" when it was far from it.
Biden routinely gets threads made about him for being senile etc (which he probably is) but they don't get locked.
Do mods put their personal political agender into their moderation - I find it bizarre that a mod would get easily triggered over this thread.

I mean, you're right but I also only posted so many times before being ejected and warned, not sure it was necessary, a simple "hey, cool off" would have been enough. I don't appreciate the warning, tbh, if there's anything you can lose your cool over it's witnessing this bs.

but then decided to say something with a meme thats very clearly not contributing to a meaningful conversation about the topic? You said plenty without words. It makes sense you were warned.

It's an accumulating, my man. They regard you as on thin ice, I'd let go of the console warring all-together, even in ways like this if I were you. Get back to a point where you aren't considered a few posts from a ban, let some warnings expire and you can stop walking on egg shells but man if you value your account I'd just stop. Post about the things you like, that make you excited, post positively and be friendly, even if it means killing a part of you that wants to do stuff like this.

They're just consoles, they play games, not worth getting exiled from here over. Mods are far less likely to want to discuss being lenient with someone they've marked as on a "Significant ban warning". And, if you post in the fashion I'm recc'ing and make in-roads with other posters if the day does come they perm you, maybe you'll have people fighting for your return, maybe it'd even get overturned.

I really hope you think about all this, I don't like seeing people banned and in my estimation it's best to not argue these mod decisions if you're already on a downward spiral of warnings/temp bans. The moderation is CLEARLY based on patterns of behavior and what they're seeing is that you haven't changed yours enough, it might seem unfair because other people get away with what you don't but other people aren't doing it all the time, other people aren't on multiple warnings, other people haven't been temp banned.

It takes a bit of self reflection, you need to remove your ego from it. Trust me, you can be on a good path here if you do the things I advise.

Yeah, I’d prefer a temporary ban and mockery, unless it’s a demonstrated long-term behavior, or the poster has a long history of not contributing and bad posting habits.

People sometimes say some incredibly stupid shit when they’re mad, and a whole lot of people get mad on election night, especially during these unprecedented times.

My take. I get why that punishment was chosen, and don’t have a problem with it.

Agreed. Seemed like an OK poster for the most part. I get the reason for the ban in the moment, but to echo others, it's election time and everyone is a little riled up too say the least. Maybe a reappraisal?

I like the idea of someone being able to walk back an angry, emotional, post made in poor judgement specifically when the anger is not necessarily target towards another user. Offer a public apology and be given a second chance. That said, when a violent wish or threat of violence enters the mix it becomes more difficult to give someone that chance.

I guess the ban mensage is quite on the point. The guy play passive here, but dude is quite a REE on the resetera. If you curious on what I'm talking about, just do a search on the resetera thread.

I say good ridance. I never like his two-face attitude. The Cyberpunk stuff was the reason I was wondering why he was even allowed here, since their witch hunt attitude shouldn't be supported or incentivated. Resetera is the perfect place for him since he likes doing that and not talking about games.
