What an incredible pack in. I've got Demons/Spider/Sackboy here but I can't stop playing this thing.

The amount of care and love for the brand here is so endearing but even beyond the nostalgia trip it's a really fun game on it's own merits. It looks and feels so good to control and yeah it seems to be ticking every possible DualSense feature box. I'm consistently impressed and it is constantly doing something new. None of it feels redundant and I'm addicted to building out the room with every Playstation accessory that I forgot even existed.

Should be able to get the platinum today I think. Pretty short obviously, but what an absolutely perfect pack in.

Anyone else playing or did you skip right to the "big" games?

AstroBot Rescue Mission is my game of the gen. If you like Playroom, you'd be blown away by Rescue Mission if you haven't played it yet. Obviously PSVR is required but I never thought I'd ever have that feeling of wonderment I had when I played Mario 64 for the first time as a kid, but Rescue Mission managed to surpass that feeling even though I'm an adult now.

Agree. 100%’d it. Maybe not my game of the gen but top 10 of the gen for sure. I made the same Mario 64 comparison when it came out.

Rescue Mission was really good and the studio seem to have found a strong mascot in AstroBot.

I'm glad Sony made this a pack in and hope they push the AstroBot franchise in a big way for the PS5 generation. Looking forward to playing it.

It truly showcases how amazing the DualSense is. I always found the generic rumble of prior-gen controllers useless but this is on another level and I hope developers utilize it properly.

IMHO this has now become a standard for me for Console launches. What a brilliant idea from Sony, showcase their hardware/new tech, with an amazing game/experience.

Sony deserves kudos for including a pack-in - this practice seemed to have died two generations ago. The game is cool and all, but did not blow me away. Particularly since I played Demon's Souls first.

It's in the system settings. PS5 will let you make all games inverted, no need to toggle it in the game.

Played it through completion today, 100% all trophies. Game was a blast from the past, so many Easter eggs and hidden gems. Absolutely loved it!

The team needs to be insulated and let do whatever they want with the IP, two games in and Astro is the perfect character to stretch outside of Sonys overly represented Adult IP

You have to do it in the system settings. It's in like data/game settings or something. You can tell it to just always invert 3rd person and 1st person games.

I'd agree, but now that DualSense is a thing, they can utilize it for VR and all of a sudden the idea of a non-VR Astro Bot becomes a bit less exciting.

It's like combining two game changers into one game rather than having just the one.

Dude I'm currently playing this game now. Having such a nostalgic filled blast. Such a charming and whimsical nintendo-esque game. It will be looked back fondly on as one of the best launch games ever produced for a Playstation console and being free only helps it.

Good lord, the game and the controller is absolutely ridiculous what it can do. I am blown away by the features. When you are in grass you can feel the controller like you are walking through thick grass. Then you walk on rock and you get the tap tap tap. The feel of the water, or the zipper part, shooting a bow, the Gatling gun. Crazy!

I can’t explain it that well, you have to feel it for yourself, but I am genuinely blown away.

It’s a charming little game. DF was right, it’s very Nintendo-like in its gameplay and overall vibe. Like seriously, when everyone gets their ps5 don’t sleep on trying this out atleast once.

It’s surprisingly really good. My three year old daughter is obsessed with it. We played for a couple of hours last night and then she wanted to play it again as soon as she woke up this morning.
Its a really clever way to showcase the features of the new controller and collecting all the PlayStation items is cool.

Astro Bot Rescue is my GOTG. Innovative, clever, fun, no stupid 5 hours of scripted scenes and videos. Perfect game. Playroom looks ok, i don't think it gets even close to Rescue.

First game I played on the PS5. Made me feel like a kid again. I didn't play too much, partly because I wanted to check out other games but also because I wanted to have more to play later.

Still need to check out Rescue Mission at some point as well.
