If Sony buy Bluepoint and they definitely should that will leave all other platforms with nothing but scraps. Not many more studios creating truly impressive games other than what you will find under SIE Worldwide Studios.

Why is it so hard to believe that they do remakes because it is what they like doing?
If you were seen as the best remake studio, never struggling to get funds or find a publisher, never short of project offers, would you throw it all away to take the huge risk of making an original game?
I'm sure whenever they feel like doing their own game Sony (or any other publisher) will just throw them money for it, as long as it is an interesting project (Sony only, if it is something too crazy).

Maybe they are waiting for that offer on making a new game? Anyway I think those dudes would be capable of making something new if they are given the resources, and I always prefer new games to remaster/remakes so that's why I posted that.
But I get your point, being Sony's favorite studio for remakes is like winning the lottery.

Instead of a remaster/remake, a (paid) Bloodborne ps5 upgrade patch would be a smaller more feasible project to do at the same time of DeS remake development, and it would explain Sony total silence on Bloodborne and its inclusion in the game collection (since it doesn't run great...)

We got Symphony of the Night, Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid, Demon's Souls, even ICO & Resistance reference I believe and SotC, there is quite a few to parse in there.
I believe they are giving clues, plus mentioning games they have already touched with remasters and remakes in the past.
Only odd balls would be SotN, Resistance and Syphon Filter. They did ICO/SotC Remaster, then the SotC Remake, now Demon's Souls remake. They did the MGS Collection Remaster as well.

I think they are all people very close to the soulsborne franchise. Lobos is a soulsborne speedrunners for example.
Lol, it looks like they are actually announcing their next game through an easter egg inside Demon's Souls. That in the tweet is the new area behind the closed door some people managed to see, but nobody yet accessed.

Bluepoint seems to be more about iconic games that are over a decade old and exclusive to the Playstation platform. SoTC and Demon's Souls leads me to believe the next game will be Resistance or Killzone 2.

Pretty much. Because of what they normally work on, its not unusual for them to work on some remaster or collection on top of a remake. So them working on 2 games might mean some combination of collection of remasters and a remake or even an original IP as I've heard they wanted to do that.
So I think maybe they are working on a remaster of Resistance Fall Of Man and its a whole ass collection and a remake of Killzone 1.

Facts. That would be a hard reboot / remake. So much has changed with 3rd person action games that they would need to really change quite a bit based on the dated design of Syphon Filter.
