Square Enix's vampiric game from a decade ago...?

An action game featuring a vampire protagonist was announced by Square Enix some ten years ago (2010-2011)...or was it not?
I swear I remember reading about this game's announcement on at least one video games forum back then but now I can't find a single trace of this game's existence; I searched and searched but I couldn't find anything, so I started wondering if this game was just a delusion in my head.

Does anyone remember about this game's announcement?

Huh? They own the Legacy of Kain series, and there was that weird ass multiplayer game that takes place in Nosgoth, but beyond that it's not ringing any bells.

Maybe Vampyr?

This one wasn't published by Square Enix, but the developer made Life Is Strange.

I've had this happen to me before, OP. A game gets shown at some press conference, maybe in a sizzle reel, and it never sees the light of day. Years later, you're convinced that you've imagined the whole thing. Most recently it was Blues and Bullets, which I only figured out a few months ago was, in fact, a real game that did (sort of) release.

I hope you solve the mystery of this vampire game.

I only remember the untitled-never-released RALLY GAME of Square Enix of... about 20 years ago! :O About Vampires... what about Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII?

Bloodmasque?

It's mobile though

No, the game I'm looking for was probably planned for a PS360 release.

Thanks.
I'm also continuing my web search on this title but I really can't find anything at all, not even on the forum where I'm sure I had read about the game's announcement.
Not by SQUENIX.

That came out on PS2.

I seem to remember something similar. I was just thinking about an unreleased Square-Enix game I thought it was for the 360 and PS3.

I don't think this is it but maybe this is the one you were thinking of?

Project Dropship

Edit: Just realized that's a list of a bunch canceled Square-Enix Games

Not that game and unfortunately not even in that site.
Nope.

So the game that I'm looking for was:

-Developed by Square Enix (internally)
-An action title with a vampire protagonist (or inspired by Vampire Hunter D)
-A mainstream title for PS360
-A game that, if it actually existed at some point in time, was announced and the silently canned

When I read what I just wrote I find it hard to believe that a title of this caliber could've just disappeared without any Square fans crying about it 24/7/365...

No.
I already knew about Dead Sun and I always see people bashing Square Enix for killing it.

I have now searched on every major English game news website and ended up finding nothing so I'm thinking that this was a dream game after all.
But why does it have to feel so real to my brain? Damn.

Was it Nosgoth perhaps? That game was a F2P multiplayer spin-off to the Legacy of Kain series and had vampires in it.

Developed by Psyonix, published by Square Enix.

Wasn't it a tech demo or something like that?

Aren't you confusing the "vampire" with Noctis?

Nah, Agni and Versus 13 aren't what I'm talking about.

Welp. Yeah, I feel like if it wasn't either this or that Bloodmasque game, I don't know what it'd be. The only other game of that era that it might be is The Last Remnant, but that's missing the vampire part.

Memories are weird. If it's something you haven't thought about in a while, it's possible you may be conflating part of it with something else from around the same time. The game may be real, but it wasn't by Square-Enix, for example.

This. I think someone would already have found out the answer if it was something made by SquareEnix and had vampires on it, cancelled or not. So, if not the games mentioned (particularly Nosgoth), I would say that the game was indeed released (perhaps another platform? Mobile?) or it's from another publisher.

Yeah, you're right about memories being weird and maybe you're also right about my memories of this game being jumbled up with memories of other games and stuff.
You also remind of The Last Remnant and the fact that I still haven't completed my 360 copy...maybe I will go play that game to console myself.

Anyway, thanks to anyone who tried to help in my search for this nonexistent game.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

originaly Naoki Yoshida and Hiroshi Takai action game, dark fantasy bloodborne kind of game before bloodborne was a thing.

cancelled due to both guy shifted to assist, and later take over of FFXIV's mess that lead to XIV 2.0
this game is follow up with square's experiment of getting used to third party engine UE3 that time after The Last Remnant.

...in some way, considering the action nature FFXVI which is probably their redemption arc over that title.

Pretty sure I remember exactly what your talking about OP I only ever saw an image of it. I remember the color RED and some castle vibes. I don't think I can find it though.

Edit:
Found it.. actually others found it first, bloodmasque is what I was remembering. It's from 2011! If this wasn't what you were searching for I do not know sir.
