Understandable. Also, Ryza is a Atelier lite game. It wasn't a bad game but it did nothing for me as a Atelier game. (RIP Lila) Get the Dusk trilogy instead. HOLY FUCK GUST IS CHARGING PEOPLE UP THE ASS FOR IT!

Bro, I'm so excited to start playing it tomorrow. Persona 5 ended up being one of my favorite games of all time, and I've been wanting to revisit it for a while now.

Definitely. One of my top 3 this gen and and one of my favorite titles of all time. There’s something about how cohesive the whole experience is. Curious to hear what you think of Royal vs vanilla.

I think I’ve sold enough copies via that thread to deserve that Switch port.

How is Kirby Star Allies after all the content has been added? I'm going back and forth on it and Yoshi's Crafted World.

Also, I did end up not buying Age of Calamity, I've decided that the whole Musou structure of the game (even in a heavily modified "ARPG" form, so to speak) is not enough for me to buy it full price. But I hope you guys have fun with it!

Yeah so these cyberdeals are not cutting it for me (EU here) and seeing their first party titles at 20% off makes me think they will not go lower ever so I might as well pull the trigger on Astral Chain/AoC physicals. I have a feeling the first will go on sale on Christmass but I’m tired of waiting

I felt it was a multiplayer game very well adapted to being a single-player one. So it was fun (and gorgeous), but I didn’t get the same feeling from it as some of the better Kirby games. Worth a play, just for the right price and time, essentially.

Yoshi, I enjoyed a lot more. Some did not. Lol. It’s an exploration platformer, where the goal is almost kind of a zen, shared between relaxing, fun platforming, incredibly creative, charming levels, clever puzzles and hidden extras, and amazing visuals and art direction (albeit hitting a tolerable sub-HD in handheld).

If that sounds good to you, awesome. If you’re into more fast-paced, challenging stuff, when you think of platformers, though, this is not that.

Yoshi’s Crafted World is great. Especially if you challenge yourself, trying to 100% each level. If you hold yourself to that, the game’s value grows much higher. Very challenging game of you aim for 100%

Yoshi games can be very relaxing and fun or they can test you greatly depending on how you play. It’s a lot like Yoshi’s Story but with a different artsyle. You can even play 2 player in that game. I bought it fairly quickly after it released in 2019 but haven’t finished it due to focusing on a bunch of other games. I’ll eventually complete it. Seems like it had a decent amount of gameplay too. I played for 5 hrs total before buying Resident Evil 0 on the eshop for $15 and got lost with that game for months. With those 5 hrs I think I got like 20% of the way. Probably like 20-25 hrs of solid gameplay with that game. 5-10+ hrs more if you aim to collect everything I’d say

It’s a well crafted 🙃 game, definitely worth playing. Can’t wait to see what they do with the next Yoshi game

I kid you not, this post has been more informative than any of the modern "reviews" I've read about both Kirby and Yoshi, where at the end I almost always was like "What the hell is the dude trying to say here?".

I genuinely think most modern writers are more interested in something poetic, that their mom can hang up on the fridge, than actually, efficiently telling people what they need to know, and respecting their time, lol.

Have you gotten that moon where you play beach volleyball with that snail? Or the jumprope moon at New Donk City?

I’d say my favorite level is the Desert Kingdom with all that reddish sand everywhere. I think that’s the greatest level

I got the jump rope one but had no idea the beach volleyball was even a thing! For me, New Donk City was probably the best level for me, it's just so much fun to explore.

100 successful jumps is a hell of a feat. It’s probably way harder than the volleyball so if you did that, you might have no issue at all when you’re playing beach volleyball for 100 rallies

I’m probably going to have to incorporate a meditation session during my attempts for those two moons at some point after several failures lol. I don’t think I even got past 40 or more hits after a couple dozen tries. It looks so easy, but it’s very tough to stay so focused and calm for that long. It’s like a mind game; winning those two moons

I'm awful at both of these too - especially the jump rope. I don't think I've even made it to 20 yet although I haven't put much time into obtaining it.

Guys how you see PS5 rumble vs Switch HD Rumble? I know people here don't like HD Rumble that much because it's "too soft" (tho that's why I like it) so i'd like to read some comments vs PS5 Dual-sense

I love both of these comments, as it really feels like today's reviewers really write their reviews almost as though they're talking to people that already know a ton about the game, and just want a score, rather than writing what any good review should, inform first and foremost what the basics of the game are, and then if it's good at what it's set out to do. As Arcadia indicated, typing up some flowery piece of poetry/high brow prose does me no good if you're not telling me about the actual game itself.

lots of things going on with the smash community these days. I don't know what nintendo's deal is, but they've been acting like a bunch of jerks for a while in terms of not supporting people who actively show off their game. Vid is 30 minutes

My main concern with the dualsense is that its triggers might start to break, the mechanism that adds tension and/or locks it in place is somewhat rudimentary. We'll see if I'm right, I'm usually not.

Except when it comes to Fire Emblem waifus.
