The PS5's 22% uplift in pixel fillrate over SX likely makes up for the lack of 2 TF.
That's a smart GPU design, IMO. Do more with less.
There is RT reflection in all 3 consoles. PS5 version however has a bug that omits showing puddles in the reflection on a glass. This bug is not present on the Xbox Series X and S version. Not missing... but missing. Solid logic.
Parity. Suck it up.
Why would I be upset about parity ? Party is best for all gamers.u just play where u like. Not missing... but missing. Solid logic.
Parity. Suck it up.
Quick resume saving the day when the "performance crown" falls flat on its face.
No? It's basically the same game on every platform. Even the Series S manages to get a good result here despite the lower resolution.
Why so salty, bro?Guy, if you are so smart that you think that you are, why not you request a job like gpu designer for AMD? to talk about those things to need lot of knowledge and experience that obviously you don´t have. Don´t understimate the work of many engineers from AMD and Microsoft that maybe they thought in all that you thought before. Maybe they have a good reason. And btw if you want to get more credibility change your avatar picture.
they said ps5 has last ditch overclocks to make it a 10tf console...............and its at least parity on multiplatform games after launch....................this is in my opinion a 10 tf machine beating a 12 tf console........ this is a win for ps5
44%, enough time to wonder if you should've bought Assassin's Creed instead.18 sec vs 26 sec, that's a lot of difference
Over -30% reduction.18 sec vs 26 sec, that's a lot of difference
got bad news for u man..................ubisoft puts out these multiplat games annually on most platforms......................we r stuck with ubisoftand to me....................this is a Ubisoft game.........................and therefore..............not a good benchmark.........for anything
Rasterization rate is also 22% higher. 8.92 Gtri/sec vs 7.3 Gtri/sec
It’s the same on both. The only way you’d see a winner is if there was a uncapped framerate mode. But there isn’t, so don’t fan the flames.imo this is a ps5 win.
Just like the theoretical GPU advantage not showing for series X, PS5´s SSD should be twice as fast as the XBOX and reality is not showing anything like that. I guess we will figure out in the next months if the theoretical PS5 and XBOX advantages show...Over -30% reduction.
PS5 looks lower res here, look at the print and the window in the back.
imo this is a ps5 win.
You can play others games like Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, etc... you will see that Sony SSD advantage exists... it is not a fabricated thing.Just like the theoretical GPU advantage not showing for series X, PS5´s SSD should be twice as fast as the XBOX and reality is not showing anything like that. Looks like a continuation of the puddle bug, puddle isn;t reflecting light in the reflection either.

U really need to get banned over this type thread derailing bs. U made a bad take about series s being better than ps5 its fine but doubling down on that shit should be ban worthy. Unless u r joking .Even series S manages reflected puddles, my theory came true
Yes, I agree but even with Tons of overdrawn, both are way above what is needed and fillrate should not be a bottleneck in any. These are not TBDR’s so you have overdraw to take into account plus amounts of pre-passes on the back buffer and other off screen render targets too (see shadow maps generation too).
And when it is fixed in a patch you end up looking like an idiot, even though that's not hard for you, like in the COD thread and PS5 performance bug that is fixed with a restart. Isn't it crazy how all your supposed wins are from either bugs or gone after a patch? Curious enough you leave out the lower texture filtering which is another bug on Series X and of course the much lower texture filtering on the S.snip.

Man, that 18 seconds is a far cry from how I understood Cerny's presentation...
PS
For those, like me, who views DF as paid shills:
Amazin'True, but it a very very small subtle difference, game is almost identical on both console.
Guy on the left in the reflection looks like Craig lol
lol ironic afU really need to get banned over this type thread derailing bs. U made a bad take about series s being better than ps5 its fine but doubling down on that shit should be ban worthy. Unless u r joking .

But knowing u, u r not joking most probably unfortunately.
Did I ever say ps4pro is better than xsx? If I do and derail threads like that then I should for sure .soooo has anyone actually played this and recommend it? it's on sale and curious
lol ironic af

Means the reflections are not ray traced for this 'bug'.RT reflections are absolutely identical on both.
Puddles are missing in reflections on PS5. Alex supposes this is a bug since there's nothing about it in the games' config files.
Are you implying that UBI is making PS5 load slower just for parity? You may then use the same flawed logic and argue the graphics are kept the same on XBOX that has a stronger GPU... These consoles are showing better parity than X360 vs PS3 and way better parity than X1 vs PS4 and Neither is showing any major advantages over each other as the theoretical GPU/Memory and SSD specs lead us to believe. You can play others games like Miles Morales, Demon's Souls, etc... you will see that Sony SSD advantage exists... it is not a fabricated thing.
Ubisoft has already shown last gen that they are eager to go for Parity. Especially at launch as to not cause "debates and stuff".and to me....................this is a Ubisoft game.........................and therefore..............not a good benchmark.........for anything

My twitter favorite has some addition info but it should be stated DF is dropping The ball here, no bug.
@astaranx: Not only the puddle but also the windows , on #PS5 is grey white like a mere texture, on #SeriesS and #SeriesX, it looks like a real window
They dont know how to differentiate paper specs from reality. They look at the tf count and not realize its theoretical, and they look at the RAM specs and see more bandwidth but in reality it's a split pool with two different speeds 1 slower. In the end it averages same bandwidth as PS5 no advantage.Alex is not sure why Series X isn't performing better than PS5. You will hear this a lot as the generation goes on I am guessing.
Current generation game not taking full advantage of the I/O of either the Series X or PS5. We have seen with SP: MM that you can get 1 to 2 second loads.
