I pointed out how stupid Bo's recent post was but it's weird how many people want him perm'd. Like do these posts really bother you that much? Even while admitting he makes threads/posts you enjoy? I dunno, I just don't get perms for popular members, honestly, unless their behavior is just beyond the pale. Not saying I don't sympathize with the mods, I just have a very different ethos about these things, I get how frustrating it can be when someone just won't do what they're told and keeps making the same dumb mistakes.

Dude is so sad I don’t even wanna bully. Strikes me as a suicide waiting to happen. I’ve seen it before. No self-confidence, struggle to communicate and bond with people, make yourself a doormat for a social clique that doesn’t even like you, constantly bullied by that clique so try even harder to appease them, in this case tripling down on the transnarcissism ego feeding and hateful leftist rhetoric. It’s a very deep mental hole to be in and I hope he realises his situation and does something about it sooner rather than later.

He was already perm'd for the exact same thing and was given another chance and clearly doesn't care.

Bo and I have had several conversations and theres s stark contrast to how he talks to people. If you agree with him its all fine and dandy but the moment you don't he becomes a complete dick. Like yeah, its the internet, people are dicks, but this isn't a forum where you can say and do whatever you want. if you want to be here you can be respectful and value the conversations that can be had.

I dunno, my impression from the few threads I see explode into wars - what was the one yesterday, might have been cyberpunk bugs? I jump to last page and it's descended into wars and it's the same people. I dunno, maybe they're being warned but I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot more names go the same way in the next few weeks. I remember back when it was a few xbox people doing the same. So you get rid of some, then you notice the others more. There's only a handful left so they stick out more these days. Some have changed like I see them just chilled now and discussing. i agree Fake , but looking at the ban list and seeing names like master of disguise, hobbess and co., makes me feel confident that mods are doing a good job ensuring that they dont infect GAF. they will learn to have fun here and leave the activism for the streets (which is where they should be doing that stuff anyway, if they genuinely want to have any kind of meaningful impact), or they will go bye bye. and look at it this way, even if they do manage to slip through the cracks, we get to shit kick em around until they decide to peace out. its (kind of) a win-win!

On the other hand, I'm more concerned about actual Gaf residents defending neo members with that kind of attitude. He is the very definition of a real journalist. His exposes are consistently excellent, and corrupt studio bosses hate him because he keeps making them look bad. And gamers hate him because he tells them things they don't want to hear or think about. Like when he said that No Man's Sky was going to be delayed, and fanboys went ballistic at HIM for some enigmatic reason.

Jason exposes suffering. The working conditions and culture of the games industry are absolutely unacceptable, and studio bosses lie through their teeth about the human cost, brutality, and outright cruelty of the industry. Risking your own life isn't a condition of meaningful journalism. Being a voice for people who will be run out of a poisonous industry run by sociopaths is an inherently valuable contribution.

If he is specifically referring to the trannies at Resetera when he says they're mentally deranged men pretending to be women, he's correct. Those are class II trannies, i.e. transtrenders. They are almost all low social status males looking for a way around the natural social hierarchy. If he means all transgender people, including those with legitimate dysphoria, then I support the ban. Generally speaking, a 5 message old account shouldn't get the same kinda leeway that established regulars do.

I will break bread with you in that these are a very incendiary collection of words, but the point remains. In every single case that isn’t straight Nazism/Marxism/racism, I would prefer words and opposing words before moderation.
