I just think it's hilarious to watch people get so caught up in that cult of personality that they would go to such great lengths to base their whole persona around a president that has no affect on them whatsoever. Comparing that to white nationalist rhetoric is asinine. Strange how people will always find a way to spin something into right vs left.

It's not like I was keeping count, but I don't think that commentary was the primary domain of the "left" users here. It was used as a put down in many different occasions.

Needs clarification. Are we really about to start closing entire threads because of things like people posting opinions on trans in sports..? Really weird timing if it's nothing to do with the last post made in that thread today. Fringe conspiracy theories is one thing. Having opinions on clearly contested and hot button topics is another entirely.

Stupid I know, but I've worked at an arcade, and yeah, have had to ask people "Ya know can you change the topic? You're making other guests uncomfortable...."

The act of posting a tweet itself isn't being an ass hole; the tweet itself and how you're reacting to it can be

The fragile comment? Maybe. People having an opposing opinion on something that's incredibly hotly debated and contested is being an asshole? You're kinda being the asshole in that situation.

I have a feeling the thread was actually closed for overall tone, which is a different argument, it's just weird to me that it existed for 11 days and was suddenly closed today after a Tweet about trans in sport was shared. If opinions like the one posted that aren't allowed, then your "arcade" is about to get nuked too, because boy oh boy does it extend to that section in spades. Gotta wait for the clarification I guess.

I hear ya

I think I separate the idea of speaking and the consequences (Both negative and positive) of that speech more than others do; to me it's more about disruptive behavior. My Guardian Force values the idea of total free speech more than I do, and she interrupted my story of what's going on here multiple times going "This is a fucking gaming web site, these people don't make sense"

I mean if you REALLY want to go down the rabbit hole of no moderation forums/websites, I can take you down that street, but lemme tell you man it ain't pretty

That isn't what Mista or I said though, we don't want that either, we're curious why a thread was locked with no explanation 11 days after creation and seemingly in response to a Tweet
