The balls on this guy. Nintendo ninjas will murder him in his sleep one day.

Anyway, I really hope we have a Switch Pro until the 2022 game comes out. Can't stand the jaggies anymore.

yeah he’s nuts... he has done it for the past couple of Nintendo events

Who do I have to bum to get a Pokémon game in the style of Octopath Traveller?

An actually ambitious Pokémon game? Must be fake

GtaV, Assassin's creed black flag, Red Dead 1, Infamous 2 , Sleeping dogs, etc.

There were plenty of open worlds made for weaker hardware
The footage looks legit and I trust this guy!

Forgive me, the 500gflop was actually for docked. Devs will actually have to optimize for the 150 GFLOPundocked too. Coupled with the fact that the switch has a CPU weaker than some phones too like the snapdragon. Pokemon deserves a full next-gen open world, not some cutdown bullshit.

Not sure I get...is the sinnoh remakes that are open world or something else?
I would be quite happy to see GF out of this.

Sinnoh remakes AND the open world set in past sinnoh.

2 games

Ah ok, sorry I only read the add info now.

Couldn't care for what GF is doing tbh, they're bunch of clowns. Now the remakes being handled by a new blood, thats interesting. Lets see if its true.

Breath of the wild and Xenoblade 2 exist
The OP says the leaker leaked MHRise the last Nintendo Direct and Steve for smash

Witcher 3 and Breath of the Wild say hi.
Lmao so 720p30 games with incredibly cut down graphics, LODs, draw distance, etc? These 'open worlds' y'all listed are incredibly static with very limited aspects and features. BOTW's open world was basically long empty fields with small bandit camps sprinkled without and incredibly simple dungeons.

Say it again, Pokemon deserves full next-gen open world.

BOTW open world is static?

Botw open world is the most impressive open world ever created by calling it as static just proved you're clueless.

Chemistry engine is really badass 💪

I hope all this isn't fake for the fans on this board. I still need to take the wrapper off Sw&Sh and play through that. I keep buying Nintendo first party releases on launch then stick them in a drawer :(

Game Freak bad

Going by the leaks, the more interesting one is handled by ironically game freak.

I mean if we are getting Pokemon: Breath of the Wild I'm in.

If we're getting gen 4 remakes I am also in.

I have loved pokemon since it first came out here.

But man an open world pokemon game almost sounds too good to be true sadly.

Uhh, you realize BOTW's open world is, like I said, full of empty open fields and small bandit camps, right? Horizon's open world is far better. It's full of more complex geometry, textures, environments, more advanced AI and pathfinding, countless POIs and locations, etc. There's FAR more to do in Horizon's open world. Shit like ragdoll physics and all that filler dressing is to compensate for an absolutely empty open world.

They could getting help by Zelda team maybe? I saw the footage, I never played BOTW so I can't tell, but to me looks like Genshin Impact maybe because the cell engine?

There's zero chance this game will have difficulty levels right?

Every Pokémon game has been getting easier and easier and it's just getting to the point now it's not worth playing them.

Which is very doubtfull to say the least. Not in a world I would believe in a game made by them at this scope. They never gave any reason to believe so and who knows...they might having being using help from profissionals and veterans developers(could be even from the very Nintendo) to create a game of this scale. But GF alone? Nah, sorry bud.

Is this a joke?
BOTW open world = many interaction with the world itself and very flexible. Dynamic progression instead of linear like HZD. Weather system that affected the world and complex wind system that completely blown HZD out of water.

Take a look at the comparison videos dude. Take a look how dull and scripted the world of HZD and how alive BOTW world in comparison.

HZD open world
-Static environment interaction
-Non existence physics of NPC
-Linear progression
-Non existence weather system
-Non existence of basic systemic logic
-Scripted encounter
-0 terraforming
-Non existence physics on weapons and etc.

What is there to do Horizon's Open world?
Aside from pre defined linear activities which are marked on the map, which you might as well select from a menu, what can you actually do in the open world in Horizon?.

I really liked horizon but if you turned it into a more linear game pretty much nothing about it would change. There's no exploration, there's no fun world physics (enemy physics are fun though), there's no interesting traversal. there's no terraforming.
You call Breath of the Wild empty but Horizon is the text book example of a linear game with linear progression that just puts a whole lot of nothing in between its different activities and calls it an open world.

I enjoyed Horizon but yeah the world was not fun to explore. I ended up fast travelling everywhere. Pretty looking map but not much to do.

Sure BOTW has lots of open empty space but I wanted to explore every part of it. All you’d find were enemy camps, shrines, korok seeds but that didn’t matter. Shrines/seeds were fun to find and felt rewarding.

Yep, that's what sets BOTW apart, the open world is actually at the core of the experience. In the Ubisoft formula, which is what most games use, the open world is just a big static background.

And to be fair I'm not saying Horizon is bad or anything. There's actually plenty of areas where I like it more than Botw, I thought it had a better story, better combat, nicer graphics and art direction, more enemy variety, etc.
