They released the old PC ports on GOG last year. In terrible condition mind you.
It's weird that they dropped those if there are plans for remasters/reboots or whatnot on the horizon.

I could see a remaster collection. They haven't had one since the PS3. I have that collection, it is incredible.

Now that I think about it, 4K 60fps MGS2,3,4, maybe with added ray tracing, or some next gen lighting or other touch ups, would be dope as hell.

MGS1 I still think is best in the low res pixelated version. For that they can include a bunch of CRT filters.

The on going rumor for a while was that Sony is going to buy Blue point, Bluepoint is making remakes of several Metal Gear titles...Kojima lol

Another rumor was that Konami was doing REMASTERS vs remakes and it would be of MGS Twin Snakes (not original), MGS2, 3, 4 (not 5)

Another rumor was MS was taking the IP. That is a more recent one, but I think Phils talks with Kojima might have to do with Death Stranding port, remaster etc.

A redditor noticed that Tom Greens birthday is on April 30th (the date Arsenal Gear crashed into NYC). This year is also MGS2s 20th year anniversary (holy shit, I'm getting old). This looks like a fun little viral campaign where they revisit the events of MGS2 in celebration. I don't think it's going to be an announcement. :/

after seeing those screenshots i'm always surprised at how good mgs2 looks. those graphics although obviously not photorealistic still hold up today. of course i'm not saying if you release a game looking like that today people would be praising it. i mean the game it's still pleasant enough to look at unlike most other games from 20 years ago that look absolutely horrible.
