Games get delayed all the time. I'm still annoyed at how long Breath of the Wild took to release. It was a little over 4 years from first being announced and Nintendo didn't scrap the look and decide to rebuild a brand new game engine mid start like 343 did with Infinite, nor did they have to contend with COVID. Also, the $500 million budget was debunked by Frankie himself a long time ago on Resetera. The Xbox One era was bad for Microsoft, but that's not indicative of previous generations at all.
You're almost there, Just need a better GPU. I tried running RD2 on all ultra and my machine almost exploded. I think 3080 would struggle as well. At this point I am not even too picky, whichever I ran into first amd or nv I am getting it.
What they are looking at is delivering new games into Game Pass on a consistent basis. Having more studios allows them to do this. There was talk of them releasing a new big 1st party game once a quarter...so that is 4 big games a year which is pretty good for a game service like Game Pass. Then sprinkle in smaller new games and stuff from 3rd party deal, that would keep Game Pass feed with new content on a consistent basis.
Hah, that engine is a technical marvel. But it's such a slow game, and playing at 30fps is a no-go for me.

It’s funny . I don’t even have an Xbox lol. Just a PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 pro for my son. PlayStation 3 in the closet as well as PlayStation 2 ( 2 of them ) .
