Take Two I just watched your E3 games show, I'm moved to write this reply. Wow, bravo, I am amazed by your virtuosity.
After over a year of your community suffering from the global pandemic, isolation, stress, financial uncertainty I expected you to give them a reward, a glimmer of hope for the entertainment future, a sneak peak at a next gen game. But no.
It would have been easy to show games though, give your audience the excitement, pleasure and entertainment that you have become so successfully wealthy from. But instead you didn't choose the easy route, you took the high ground (It's over Anakin, I have the high ground!). You went above and beyond and educated us on your private hiring process, an inside look at your day to day office HR process, an invaluable insight for your loyal fans.
Your conference will be a hard show to follow, however tomorrow we still have Nintendo. Let's hope they saw your conference and took note. Because for all of Nintendo's positive points one thing they are lacking is your bravery in diversity.
I can only begin to imagine how great BOTW would/could have been if they only embraced diversity.
Had Mario Odyssey not being created by a room of Japanese guys working together in sync but by some blue haired trailblazers educating and diversifying we may have seen the elusive 100% metacritic.
We can only hope and pray that Nintendo has finally embraced this diversity and tomorrow, Miyamoto San enters the (virtual) stage wearing a princess peach dress and wig and declares to the world he is finally out as a brave transgender woman.
Perhaps then, finally we will see some great (culturally relevant) games from the big N.
I raise a glass (of chilled organic free range soy milk) to you Take Two. Bravo
