in fact most doubted since this was announced as games for xb + beth

It seems to me, the rumors about MS buying studios are completely fabricated and people continue to run with them for no good reason.

FH5 begs to differ. Apples to oranges for sure but it looked just as good to me. Must just be a horizon thing...
Maybe Sony will announce some acquisitions.
People get stuff wrong. I don’t think jez announced acquisition. He did Hear rumors of them.

It sounds to me like Microsoft will continue throughout the week with more news. They also didn’t announce the cloud stick or the TV app during there, what seem to be, game preview only show.

Kidding yourself if you think Horizon looks better than Forza.. I'll be playing both FYI so no horse in this race.
Some of those scenes in forza looked like photographs. No argument that they both are lookers.

By the same token I think you are kidding yourself if you think Forza looks better. Yeah Forza goes for a more realistic look, utilizing photogrammetry, but it’s also sparse as hell and had a tooon of pop up occurring.
Horizon goes for a more CG/animated look and has a ton of detail in the environments and robot Dino enemies.
They are different. I don’t have a horse in the race either, other than not wanting to look like a shill.
Forza doesn’t look “better.” And that’s “objective.”

Forza Horizon 5 has beautiful and very high-quality geometry details on the faraway environment, but that's not interactive at all. Also, a car racing game is the easiest one to make it look pretty, unlike an open-world action-adventure game.

Not even joking but it doesn't. People were being easily fooled by folks mixing in FH4 photos with the stuff from FH5. The game also only has ray tracing in Forzavista mode and runs 4K30 with no raytracing in gameplay.

Sparse as hell and yet they were driving through a dense jungle with multiple other players? how do you figure that one out.. Not saying there is not any pop in but I didn't notice any, then again I was not looking for it. I did however just go through the video quickly then and noticed a little bit of pop in on one of the segments which was barely noticeable but it actually was quite impressive because if they can have that visual fidelity with multiple people driving onscreen while travelling at almost 200mph and have only a couple trees pop in that are barely noticeable and still have time to iron things out then I think it is an achievement and applaud playground for the effort they have put into it.By the same token I think you are kidding yourself if you think Forza looks better. It is hard to compare these games with the difference in genre and visual style and I realize it is all objective but if we are talking about photo realism then Forza takes the cake out of the two easily....

I don't get what you mean by fooled by FH4 photos in FH5, I am talking based of their 4K video. Again I do not see your point here, are you trying to say because it isn't raytraced that it looks bad orrr, because they said as much in the reveal?. I think you need to watch the 4k video below and maybe elaborate about what you are trying to say because Im sorry I don't understand..

Healthy reminder, Forza Horizon 4 already let you smash through the scenery with signs, fences, stone walls, bricks, trees, bushes and all kinds of crap flying everywhere. It’s actually extremely interactive, makes Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo Sport etc seem ancient and stale in comparison. It’s kinda like that old BOTW vs HZD video where Link can chop down everything and Aloy can’t even cut off a small twig. The only thing on a similar level is Wreckfest.
FH5 will very likely be the in the same ballpark, expect pure chaotic arcade racing madness, this ain’t no boring sim.

Since there was no announcement at the Xbox+Bethesda showcase and the rumor has increased from 3 to 5 studios I've reopened the poll and upped the options to 5. Also, some major rumors made me put some other studios such as NetherRealm and Rocksteady which seems like they could be possible candidates due to WB+Discovery merge and WB Games division being split apart.

Since nothing came from the latest rumor (like 99% of the stuff posted here), we can only conclude MS isn't buying 3 studios, they must be buying 5. If we don't hear anything by next week, we should assume it's 8.

Why not 10? Personally, I would prefer a thread with the title ‘MS release 5 new exclusives’. Now that would give me some comfort in my purchase of the Series X. Unfortunately, it looks like I’ll be waiting until late 2022 for the first decent fucking single player game. I was hoping that in the conference MS would announce the near release of some exclusive single player games from their bazillion studios, but I’ve just been left none the wiser.
