Ok mods. Kingfey self banned himself. Which alt account is this guy? lol
Ok mods. Kingfey self banned himself. Which alt account is this guy? lol
Sorry to bother you with this question?
How long doe it take for a mod to ban you? I requested a self ban, and I want to take a break.
I was told he was fartynoob who changed his name to spideyfan, requested a ban because people were catching onto him. A week later he comes back as kingfey and does his usual schtick. Requests another ban today to repeat the process with a new account. Not sure why GAF is allowing more than one account Mod of War ?Ok mods. Kingfey self banned himself. This is as bad as the df conspiracies and "astroturfing" article claims by a certain group of people.
Well the thing is, its not allowed here. He should've been banned once someone caught that he was fartynoob/spideyfan.Why don't you ask F Fali ?
I agree that he shouldn't be allowed to do this even if he did request the ban.
It's fine to ask for a temp to take a break. I don't see anything wrong with that. But to keep creating new accounts to have a clean history?
I don't think that should be allowed in my opinion. I make mistakes on this site and my history is a way to remind me of them. Creating new accounts over and over will just allow bad behaviors to continue.
at least they banned the new alt, maybe the week away on the kingfey account (if that doesn't get extended) will do him some goodWhy don't you ask F Fali ?

that thread he had made about his mobile gaming addiction was probably one of the better ones he posted but he's clearly replaced that addiction with a thread making addiction
I almost hope this is a troll thread?
Different outlets review games on different platforms, which always leads to different platform scores. There's no "favoritism".
i doubt most reviewers are even invested in games at all....something tells me that most reviewers and metacritic are not as invested in the console warz as you are.
Tbh i wouldnt be if it was my job, id probably get sick of them. Thats why i never wanted the “dream job” of working for one of those sitesi doubt most reviewers are even invested in games at all

Screen rant 90 metacritic
"Greak is yet another great Metroidvania that manages to make the genre feel fresh and empowering. While the world of this story is dark, the feeling players are left with is one of joy, and its well-paced runtime leaves room for both a sequel and replay value."
Gamespew: 60 metacritic
"With a fairly short running time, at least Greak: Memories of Azur doesn’t require much commitment to see it through. I just can’t help but feel that if your companions were computer-controlled and actually assisted you in combat, or at least tried to keep out of the way of your enemies rather than simply standing motionless, my review would be much more glowing. As it is, for every few minutes of joy I had with Greak: Memories of Azur, I generally had another filled with some level of frustration. Ultimately that lead to a great deal of disappointment, which is a real shame."

"A truly original game in its genre but enjoyable, but unlikely to remain in your head over the years due to some gameplay flaws."
Nme: 40 metacritic
"Greak: Memories of Azur is tantalisingly close to being a good game, but multiple design decisions pull it back from a recommendation. Despite a gorgeous art style and pretty soundtrack, actually playing this one is too often a fiddly and imprecise lesson in frustration."
Switch example.

Quotation forthcoming."
Nintendo world report: 55 metacritic
"At first glance, it’s completely understandable to be entranced by the gorgeous environments and backgrounds of Greak: Memories of Azur. Don’t be lured unaware by its siren call! While there is a decent experience underneath, some inexplicable design decisions, the uninspired sidequests and serviceable story don’t buoy the adventure enough to make up for how badly implemented the game’s primary mechanic is. If you came away from the eShop demo impressed or you’re able to overlook a very obvious fatal flaw, you might be able to derive some pleasure out of Greak’s mission. Don’t expect to find me spending much time reminiscing about these memories."
Pc example reviews
Pc invasion 80 metacritic
"Short, but unique and satisfying despite some frustrating elements, Greak: Memories of Azur is a winning actiony puzzle-platformer with some of the best 2D visuals you can find."
Slant: 50 metacritic
"By himself, Greak feels like a dull carbon copy of so many protagonists from recent action-exploration games, namely Hollow Knight. Having Adara and Raydel eventually accompany him, so that you’re simultaneously controlling three characters, adds a superficially more creative, if awkward, layer to the game, a multi-character gimmick that Greak never fully utilizes. But the puzzles tend toward the rote, as in one character needing to hold down a pressure plate or crank open a door to facilitate the path forward for everyone in the group."
edit: My point with this post is to show, that metacritic reviews is pointless. Its not about my platform that, or this.
most people will look at the score and judge the game.
if you are an xbox player, you will get the idea, that the game is garbage and not worth buying. Thus affecting the game's sales in the xbox platform.
these are the issues of relying metacritic for judging games. And most of time, good games gets lost that way.
I would counter that by saying I have given Mod of War proof of Xbox recruiting DF to be "pro xbox" leading up to the Xbox One X reveal but most don't want to hear this.
In that same proof of DF recruitment also showing that Xbox gives away Xboxs, game pass and storage disks to an army of people to be pro xbox.
People can hide their heads in the sand all they want but it 100% happens.
You mean Afro Republican, Voost Kain and another alt I forget. His way of posting reminded me of a user i use to see here a lot before. Afro republican or something like that iirc.
This is shocking, its almost like reviews and review aggregation isn't scientific!
Won't somebody think of the children?

I wouldn't be surprised at all.
Lol, busted. He requested a self ban, then tried to create an alt since he quickly ruined his reputation on the last account.
Epic Fali. I mean, fail.
Pretty sad how he thought he could fix his reputation by creating an alt.
It was probably so he could make twice the number of topics, he just needed spam post enough on the alt account to allow him to create topics.

Well, only user that surely was an alt is F Fali . It begs the question though, why isn't the original (as far as we know) kingfey account permanently banned yet then? Isn't that what's supposed to happen, Mod of War ?

Sorry most of the stuff I shared with Mod of War wont see the light of day other then some cliff notes version from time to timeWow, thanks, very interesting. I was pretty sure it happened (after all, Microsoft has a long history of astroturfing, they were even found guilty and paid a fine for that due to Internet Explorer astroturfing back in the day, that much is publicly known...) but I never got the proof for Xbox matters.
Is there any way we could access the proofs you gave to the mod ?

Not every reviewer reviews the same game twice or thrice on different platforms.
So ofcourse results will differ.
This is water is wet levels of thread quality.
Also: Don't stare so vehmently on a Metacritic number and find other sources or heck, try it yourself.
I fear for the worst if this is what drives GAF responses these days. Because the OP in general makes such an obvious statement, it really does not need a thread or explanation.Well said. I think Metacritic gives a good general evaluation of the game, but in no way is it supposed to match our own taste, so there's no reason to feel insulted by bad reviews.

I am always surprised when games on series X and PS5 don't share metacritic scores when there is literally barely any difference between the two games.
Maybe meta scores shouldn't be split unless it's a completely different game (or a port on much weaker hardware)
Then again, I think review scores are worthless at this point.
Maybe phase them out and have recommended or not instead.
