Yeah soccer is treated with mockery and straight up disdain here in the states. Its 100% Soccer here in the US and when you are not good enough to play Football, Basketball and or Baseball you try out for Soocer.
Totally true story.
I work with a lot of kids privately tutoring them on pitching and know a lot of area Athletic Directors for Indiana High Schools.
Many of my kids that are super talented have been straight told by the ADs to drop Soccer and work on the main sports.
Back on track what amazes me about this is seeing this GOT DC boxed lead the charts showing a lot of new people getting to try out a wonderful game.
That doesn't mean that individual games sell 80% digital, that's of all games, which includes all games on the psn storeMassive swing? Digital is 80%+ already almost across the board.
while don't care about your point, the term soccer is actually a British term and acts as an abbreviation of association football, because apparently saying association football was too much for British college students of the late 19th century so the just soc, but make it better they added an er to the end, forming soccer,I don't care what anyone says AMERICAN FOOTBALL (gridiron whatever you call it) it SUCKS.
Rugby, Cricket, and Football is where it's at. AND it's NOT Soccer you yanks.
What’s that? I’m European!!!What's "Madden"? (I live in the UK)
Don't forget your shoulder pads
It's a sports Casino often sponsored by EA, but also 2K (on the basketball side.).What's "Madden"? (I live in the UK)
We're talking about sales in the thousands here. Thousands!
seriously, though. Interesting to see ratchet and spider man climbing back up there
That's not what this thread is about though.
We don't have enough info from other regions yet to draw any further conclusions.

You usually gamble real money for ghost value coins and prizes like virtually non-physical trading cards that cant be shown to your friends unless they have the same version of the game as you.
There are slot machines but you dont get money, you get virtual interactive monetary hallucination objects that can be mentally valued as money in your imagination.
Don't forget...........whatever this is....
Where can I try that out?
Because it's also available in the UK?Then why are people bringing up GamePass? That service is in many countries not named "UK".
That looks appealing to you, does it?
Because it's also available in the UK?
Glad that PS gamers still care about Physical. Good job lads
There's no way to quantify that. But I'm sure the devs for Hades are getting more money from UK gamers for their PS5 copies bought, than from UK Gamepass subscribers that played the game on Xbox.
This is called a trend.UK
- Fifa 21 : 62% of sales on PlayStation
- Hitman III : 75% on PlayStation
- F1 2021: 65% on PlayStation
- Nier Replicant : 90% on PlaySstation
- Mass Effect Legendary : 70% on PlayStation
- Resident Evil VIII : 80% on PlayStation
- Hades : 93% on PlayStation
- NFL 22 : 81% on PlayStation
Baseball is still popular. Even at 2nd place.A lot fewer Americans watch baseball than (American) football.
you do realize that means all games right, not individual releases, and especially not at launch. in fact, if you actually read the article instead of looking at a headline you like, you would have seen that physical sales were up 2%, digital sales are simply expanding faster it isn't a replacement, it's an expansionTwo thirds of UK game sales were digital in 2020
Two thirds of UK games sold in 2020 were digital, new figures have revealed, showing a further acceleration in the tran…www.eurogamer.net
just going to leave it here
A bit like when we see certain individuals bragging about GamePass subsBecause bragging about like 5000 copies sold makes you look desperate.
The trend is the approaching death of boxed games. This is called a trend.
I guess the Hades developers might be OK with it, but what about the others? And even for those that get GamePass money, I wonder if it makes up for the drop in sales for a 93% rated game?
Tales from the assThe trend is the approaching death of boxed games.
Xbox users are just more forward-thinking and have less boomers among them.

It seems you're still in the stage of denial.Tales from the ass
In the case of Hades you are talking literally about 75,000 in total revenue coming from UK boxed sales in the 1st week, I'm pretty sure they are "ok" with the "drop in sales," but you might have to tweet a dev to make sure. This is called a trend.

You're high on your own farts. It seems you're still in the stage of denial.
Xbox has no physical sales and will never again have. It does not matter, as developers still make billions of $ on the Xbox platform. This is called a trend.

Not to Bernd Lauert . 1 million sales on 5 platforms = huge success. 600k on 1 platform = below expectations.I'd bet you $100 Psychonauts doesn't chart at all.
Will that mean it's a giant flop?
Don't forget your shoulder pads
A bad case of swamp ass.Don't forget...........whatever this is....
you think that's bad, you should have seen me in my local Tesco's fighting for the last toilet roll pack at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
I dont even know where to begin....So much insecurity in these threads.
What a crock of shit .The trend is the approaching death of boxed games.
Xbox users are just more forward-thinking and have less boomers among them.
I think the more relevant question is, are you OK?In the case of Hades you are talking literally about 75,000 in total revenue coming from UK boxed sales in the 1st week, I'm pretty sure they are "ok" with the "drop in sales," but you might have to tweet a dev to make sure.
Do they all make billions? Somehow I don't think Supergiant are making "billions" from their GamePass deal and Xbox game sales. We don't even have the overall platform numbers to make estimates.Xbox has no physical sales and will never again have. It does not matter, as developers still make billions of $ on the Xbox platform.
MS should reward that forward thinking then....and discontinue the XSX and push the Series S as the main console.....The trend is the approaching death of boxed games.
Xbox users are just more forward-thinking and have less boomers among them.
1 million sales of a game made by 20 people = meh. 600k of a game made by 80 people = mega-hit.Not to Bernd Lauert . 1 million sales on 5 platforms = huge success. 600k on 1 platform = below expectations.
Of couse not. But it's a super healthy platform. That's the point.I think the more relevant question is, are you OK?
And it's not just the drop in boxed sales, it's the digital split too. Unless you're going to tell me the impact of GamePass was for a ton of subscribers to rush out and buy a copy?

Feel free to explain why PS5 software vastly outsells PS4 despite having only 10% of the install base.Oh! Tell the one about how the size of the install base is meaningless because of UK boxed charts numbers which are meaningless....until they are not.
I love that story.
you think that's bad, you should have seen me in my local Tesco's fighting for the last toilet roll pack at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
Some series mortal combat taking place
Feel free to explain why PS5 software vastly outsells PS4 despite having only 10% of the install base.
Use revenue. Problem solved. UK boxed charts won't tell you anything about... anything.
