I want y'all to name 5 PS3/360 games that looks better than Bayonetta 3 at 60fps. Saying this looks like a 7th gen game is ridiculous.

the trailer is clearly running at solid 60 fps and please we are talking about Platinum Games, even Nier on ps5 looks bad. Also real smart comparing a game developed for a handheld with a tegra chip to kena. Now compare kena's gameplay to Bayonetta, please do that.

Gameplay looks really awesome, graphics look underwhelming for 2021 but I can get over that, hate the redesign though. Definitely trying to be more family friendly in comparison with the other games. Shame the series went Nintendo exclusive, but I guess that's better than not having any sequels at all.

There isn't much gameplay shown, at least Bayonetta herself gameplay, the main new thing seems to be the monster controlling.

Exactly my problem with a lot of threads on this place lately.
Its impossible to NOT be negative.
We wanted a new Bayonetta game....Bayonetta has never been a looker of a game but gameplay has been its pillar.
The gameplay looks amazing....and im not fussed about the graphics as long as gameplay is still tight.
Cant hate on the gameplay so lets say the graphics are wack, because if we dont hate we aint living.

The Switch hardware is so retarded for 2021. Those 3D textures and 3D models are so simple and not clean at all, effects are so dated!
I felt the same with new Kirby, I would have love to get a Switch for those but they both look so awful , so dated compared to Ratchet and Clank and Returnal on PS5, or even Horizon on PS4 pro, and "art is better" argument can't save those two games. It really shows!

The drama and hot takes from a 3 minute trailer in this thread are hilarious. Why are people thinking Platinum Games are going to drop the ball for their best rated franchise? We’re talking about the premium of action games here. They just can’t fuck up specially now that they’re being published by Nintendo. And all the graphics rage? We all know the limitations of the hardware by now. Why are people pretending to be shocked by this? So much nonsense.

I love Bayo and all Platinum games, but no. IMO Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden series are faaaar better hack'em slash games. Bayo is a solid third place.

Bayonetta 3 should not be open world. The structure of 1 and 2 is perfect. Extra campaigns like Nier Automata would be great tho.

what made bayo famous was the fact that by a mile at the time it was the best action game ever made..and still now it is imh the best when talking about crowd conrol and group fights..on a one on one basis has been dethroned by the last DMC
sadly then bayo 2 happened and ruined everything..that's why i cna't get hyped for this one with kamiya still away from the director's chair and just in as a supervisor

Looks pretty rough all right, but that's series standard, IMO. Even the first game wasn't a looker back in the day, with that same flat, grey, washed out look that fails to charm the eye but it instnbtly readable to the player. That, plus the Japanese VA told me this was Bayonetta 3 long before she showed up, even though the monster designs seem different for the series (from what I recall).
I also think the costume is the worst of the three, whatever the lore reason might be, but it's not so bad that it'll distract. I'm sure there will be skins for those who care. Get ready to shell out for amiibo if you don't already have them though. =/

I am aware of who Cereza is, alternate Bayo looking a bit different would still make sense I'd say.
When I first saw pics of her I just didn't immediately think of the Bayonetta we know, I thought of someone else or a much younger teenage version of her.
Edit: On a graphical level tho the game looks horrible, when I heard of it I got really excited but in all honesty after seeing the trailer my hype is really low and I feel disappointed :/.

Yeah but whose fault is that? Nintendo could have released a Switch Pro, even a docked only Pro so people like him (and me) could enjoy some games without having their eyes bleed at 600p and 30 FPS.

the thing is, there cannot be an alternative bayonetta because that's not how the time traveling mechanics in the series work at all, not different timelines but changing the past affecting the future, there's only one bayonetta/cereza
alternative universes might still be on the plate if the initial teaser is still worth anything (so old the game might have been rebooted several times at this point), since there we saw an old version of bayo dying to the new enemy..but personally i think that version of the game is long gone.
