[Rumor] Sonic Frontiers and God of War Ragnarok release dates leaked

I hope sony is actually thinking ahead of time about not crowding their game releases this year. if Ragnarok is in the back half of 2022 along with another big game we won’t have a repeat of this year

Let Forspoken, Gran Turismo, Horizon, and the exclusive indies shine for the first half of the year

I think I was reading in another thread about Sonic. I definitely think it's a placeholder in the least. I would like to think GOW would be May 2022, but could be anything really.

Nice; I had a feeling they were gonna sandwich 2022 with H:FW and GoW Ragnarok, tho I thought the latter'd be maybe November (maybe they don't want to go up against COD tho). I'm actually pretty optimistic about Sonic Frontiers, here's hoping it turns out very well to match what the sequel movie's looking like.

Suppose the big question is if GOW is Q3 end or Q4 start. Further out than I was expecting though tbh.

September seems right. Sony 1st party will have Horizon, GT7, and MLB in the first half of the year. GoW will be their big Fall title.

I would imagine no sooner than Sept. for God of War. Horizon is 2/18 and Gran Turismo was supposed to be March, so plenty in the pipeline for the first part of the year already

Last one dropped in April iirc. Probably see another delay before September.

If I'm Sony, I want at least 1 big game every quarter.

If GoW:R is their big title for the fall quarter, I'd be pretty disappointed. I was hoping we'd see a legit PS5 game release in Q3 and Q4.

Maybe it is just me but I feel like 2022 is going to be a disappointing year for PS5 much in the same way 2021 was.

Was hoping Gow would be sooner. But good to hear it's 2022 at the very least.
Can't freaking wait

Report me if I continue to console war
more like maybe people will be able to get ps5's
I doubt it, this is the final game in this GOW reboot and from what they jave said its going to be really epic. 4yrs is actually pretty good for a game of gow's size and scope.

You have to be smoking crack to come to this conclusion. With Forbidden west, GT7, Partnered games like Sifu, Stray, all coming next year on top of any un-announced titles is going to be a great year for sony. Not even talking about what might be released next year as a package deal from Naughty Dog. I've heard that Remake of Last of us part 1 is in a good state, they are mainly waiting on Multiplayer which might get a slight beta release late 2022.

But the package of Last of us part 1+2 and DLC is suppose to be by end of next year. So we will see if they make that. Even if they dont. God of war, Forbidden west, GT7, Sifu, Forspken, GhostWire all next year. Thats a big lineup. Even with just first party those 3 titles alone are huge.

Final game in the Norse Mythos story arc. They never said “final game in the reboot.”

I don’t get why that would matter from a consumer standpoint.

Sure, it would be a good idea to space things out for sales reasons but I think 2022 will be a crowded year regards if most of the games aren’t delayed. For example - Sifu, Elden Ring and Horzion FB are all coming out in the same month (Feb 2022).

I think Sony will push GOW to Nov because the narrative this year was they didn’t have enough big games at the end of the year like Xbox did.

These cross-generation titles don't have me very hyped up nor do the AA games. I doubt we see a ton of unannounced games that drop in 2022, maybe the Last of Us Remake, otherwise, I'd bet more on ports/remasters showing up rather than big titles that haven't even been teased.

That to me just isn't a big lineup, but I'm also not a huge fan of Horizon. Maybe I'm biased because these games aren't getting numerical continuations and they're cross gen, but they just don't look like next gen leaps from the previous franchise installments, which makes them feel like DLC expansions to me.

God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, Granblue Fantasy Relink, SIFU, Little Devil Inside Me, Stray, Gran Turismo 7 and possibly Final Fantasy 16

2022 already looks better than 2021

Calling Forbidden west and Ragnarok DLC expansions is some kind of new goalpost meta.

If you can't see that the industry is excited for Sony's First party then I would have to believe your just not a fan of what they make. There are literally threads recently on Forbidden west and every publication has been talking about specifically God of war and Horizon.

I now see you Joined in September, to ignore you go.

They better be 20+ hours games.

Horizon at least looks like a small improvement but God of War looks exactly the same as the first one.

It having a Spider-Man ish release date would suit me.

It’s also a massively good idea to avoid being too near Forspoken, Gran Turismo, Horizon and Ghostwire Tokyo, while also avoiding the November squash.

Looking at how it’s just a sequel and they used the same assets and animations and they have been working on it since 4 years ago in pretty sure that it’s not rushed.
GoW looked very rough, so maybe something will be actually improved.

That date makes sense

January - Uncharted
February - Horizon
March - Gran Turismo
April -
May - Forspoken
June - Gostwire Tokyo
July - Last of Us 2 Remastered
August -
September - God of War
October -
November - Final Fantasy 16?
December -
