How can they have two years, being 2020 and now 2022, where they don't have a single major release? (Maybe Forza 8 this year, but come on)

That being said, they seemed pretty confident with starfield and Redfall release dates last year, wonder what happened, for the sudden delay a month prior to their event.

Hopefully we get some surprises for this year, revealed at the Xbox event.

As I can imagine upcoming game pass timed exclusive stalker 2 will potentially get delayed too.

Nah micosoft deserves the pressure. Im an xbox fan but between sparse game releases, failure to demonstrate gameplay and reliance on cg, and the continued failure of halo infinite to deliver basic features, they absolutely deserve the hate right now.

I really think starfeild is being delayed by bathesda because they want to win GOTY and they know they can’t do that this year. So pushing the game to the February or March is safe and gives Microsoft a big game in q1 something they haven’t had ever.

Now I'm sat here with the subpar Halo in hand and no big releases on the horizon, so i don't even have that phantom of hope.

MS needs to stop buying any more studios and sort this crap out, All these new studios being part of the Xbox brand and so far only Forza Horizon 5 and Psychonauts 2 to show for it all nearly 2 years into Series console’s life This is just such bad PR on almost every level…

One can only hope the likes of Forza and Hellblade 2 will be ready to go this year, or the PS fans will have a field day on social media, even more than they are today. Still it could be worse, one could be a Nintendo fan

Doom and gloom? Do you expect sunshine and rainbows? MS has 1 job, supply a steady stream of quality games for the people who spend hundreds of £€$ for their hardware and in their ecosystem.

If anything warrants doom and gloom, it’s this news.

This is really fecking appealing and Forza Motorsport, even if it does actually launch this year, is nowhere near good enough.

Maybe it is cause I am not too fussed about Starfield myself (I am waiting to see gameplay before getting excited for the game, same applies to Redfall) it's kinda hard to be disappointed over something I haven't seen yet.

I'll wait till June 12th before I join the doom and gloom team (please don't be all cgi reveals)

Normally I try to stay above this kind of thing, but I know some people who need to be eating that humble pie right about now. Ya'll were warned that Redfall having absolutely no gameplay shown a couple months before the Summer season was a very bad sign for a game targeting a Summer release. Starfield, despite being announced 4 years ago, was only just recently drip feeding us looks at the game. But you stuck your fingers in your ears and screamed, "this is just how Bethesda works!"

That said, it is always a better idea to delay a game than force it through. If Schreier is right, Starfield would have been another Cyberpunk disaster if they stuck to that date. Which is worse than just holding it back to make sure it's good. It'll be a better game than whatever it would have been.

Elden Ring, GT7, Horizon FW, so far so good. Maybe FFXVI and GoW Ragnarok if they don't get delayed as well. I could see Forspoken being good too, I think people are counting it out too soon.

BoTW2 got delayed but the Switch have other upcoming games as well.

PSVR2 is probably not making it to 2022 but it hasn't been ruled out I think.

It probably won't be looked back as a stacked year but you never know until the games release. Elden Ring was a much bigger deal that anyone could predict.

Both HFW and GT 7 released with numerous issues and did not live up to expectations, let's be real. But sure Elden Ring was good and big, I'll give 2022 that. But I'm pretty sure Final Fantasy was already announced to be pushed to 2023

That's one the video game company 10 commandments written in their strategic playbooks.

1. Hype the game as much as possible

2. Hype a release date as if everything is normal and on target

3. If the product needs to be delayed, do it a handful of months out at most even though it might be known internally the product is way off launch target date
