I thought starfield would never be delayed because it was following Bethesda previous way of doing things. Also Microsoft had nothing else this year so they would want to make sure starfield makes it.
I can't see god of war being delayed because it was already pushed from 2021 to 2022. No way they'll push it back again. Especially when devs from the studio have said its coming this year. If there was a delay, Cory barlog would have said it on that update video from a couple weeks ago. Why string us along?
I'm pretty shocked by the Starfield delay myself as well, especially with them ramping up exposure (albeit still in teases and developer convos.) However, if a game isn't ready, it isn't ready. You can crack the whip all you want, but that won't make the beasts of burden accomplish the impossible.
I can't see God of War being delayed either, and all signs point to it being on time for a release this year... still, it did just happen to somebody else's big tentpole game, things happen. So I have no expectation of it missing this year and yet it is what it is if it happens.
(*We also don't know yet that Microsoft has nothing this year; last year, they sprung Forza Horizon 5 as a surprise announcement in June at the same event that is coming up on the 12th. So, maybe they have that again? Or maybe not?)
(**Sony so far doesn't have anything written on the books for this year either, even GoW isn't written in stone ala this thread, although there are plenty of rumors, particularly of TLoU products to be announced.)
