FF5 is better than FF6 in most ways. FF6's world is interesting but it has too many characters and too episodic a structure to really develop any of them. They also dumbed down a lot of the gameplay from 5.FF6 and you have a fair debate
FFV?
smh.
Sad. A prime example on why one shouldn't do drugs
Five was strange in the timeline of releases, a move back to mechanics after the more story driven 4. And I guess the last of its kind. There’s an argument to be made for VI, but V, not so much, it’s the best version of the job system for sure, but the story is rather weak. VII is amazing for a reason.
Eh. Final Fantasy Tactics takes the job system and perfects it.Literally has the most replay value to offer in the series lmao. This board used to have yearly playthroughs for it.
*Kick fucking rocks at kids while in the middle of the road6 is close I think. 7 is still my favorite followed by 8. FF9 can go kick fucking rocks
Somebody really needs to keep their retards locked up and away from internet accessMost of the series is better than VII. VIII, XIII, and XV are the only entries that are clearly worse. II, III, V, IX, XII are in the same bracket and everything else is easily above VII.
Here’s the attention you orderedHot take:
All Final Fantasy games are grossly overrated. And that film they did... the cringiest shit.

IV almost puts me to sleep, game's just waaay too easy.Hot take: IV is better than V, VI or VII
The best version is the DS remake and it may be the hardest version tooIV almost puts me to sleep, game's just waaay too easy.
I'll give it another go on the SNES with the hardtype patch, maybe that's the good version.
That's some bad memory if you don't remember Gilgamesh, being such a popular character and all that.Couldn't tell you a single character name from ff5. That's how forgettable that game is to me.
Edit: golbez? Is that a name from ff5?
I get it. I couldn't get into FF7 when I tried it, maybe I should give it another chance.I really like 5's gameplay better, but 7 has higher production values and I really like pre-rendered backgrounds more than 2D sprites.
My favorite one is 9 though.
i have played 9, the gameplay was pretty decent and the backgrounds and models are some of the best looking in the series, like drop dead gorgeousI get it. I couldn't get into FF7 when I tried it, maybe I should give it another chance.
And 9... Man everyone keeps saying is one of the best and I still have to play it. Hope it's good!
Hey SlimeGooGoo , why do you think FFVII is so great?

Guess I know what I'll be playing once I finish Okami. Thanks fellas!Definitely do, it's a great game.
FF9 is the most polished one of the PS1 era, and it has that nostalgic feeling since it brings back once again castles, knights and black/white mages.
Just talking about it makes me want to play it again.
It has it's moments, I wouldn't call it forgettable at all but whatever, to each their own.Nah. Ffv is the most forgettable of the SNES games and certainly the most forgettable of 4-15.
No, IV, V, and VI are absolutely all better than VII. There is no argument needed. There’s an argument to be made for VI, but V, not so much, it’s the best version of the job system for sure, but the story is rather weak. VII is amazing for a reason.
