so what makes you think that RE3 does not use reconstruction, running on the same engine and being pretty demanding in many scenes (to the point where performance is noticeably worse than RE8 in many scenes)
why on earth would RE3 be the exception? why would almost every game running with RE engine use CBR, but not RE2 and 3, even tho performance is pretty bad as is with RT on...
and how come there are some pretty obvious sawtooth artifacts if you look closely?
isn't all of that a bit weird?... it's like you go up to an oven and smell salami, cheese, tomato sauce and baking dough, but refuse to consider that there's pizza in the oven.
edit: here a Series X example from VG Tech's pixelcount images. this is right after a camera cut, the first frame, basically showing the raw image without/with minimal AA and reconstruction

this is clearly using CBR. sawtooth edges on geometry right after a camera cut. it can't be more obvious
