From the trailer everything that looks good seems to be taken directly from the game. The acting, art and animation in the games are already so good that I doubt turning it into a series will add anything of value to those that already played it.

I assume there will be enough side content/stories with characters, etc, that will dive deeper than the game. Possibly giving us perspectives in live action that we read on those notes in the game world. Bringing those characters to life, maybe.
