Somehow I got one. I had been trying since 8am like all of y'all. I had BB and Newegg up constantly refreshing and every time I would click to add to cart then go to pay it would say card is out of stock. At 9:15 I went down to the cafeteria to get some water and came back and still Newegg would show a card available but when going to the cart it would show it was out of stock so I had given up. At 9:40 one more in stock came up at Newegg and this time I got past the cart and the payment and boom the MSI Trio should be here Friday.

i have six and am always looking to add more, but I never understood the point of adding those side panel fans if you already have fans on the front panel bringing in cold air. If the side panels are configured as intake they will create a vortex in your case, if they are exhaust fans they will simply exhaust all the air from the front fans before it gets to the CPU and GPU.

Apparently a backdoor link to skip the queue was shared in private discords and twitch channels before it even went live here in the U.S. I'm seeing conflicting reports on if the Trio has vapor chamber or not. If I get an opportunity to switch fine but honestly I'm just happy to have gotten one at this point.

They've got the three fans on CPU cooler acting as exhaust as well though. You really should have more intake pressure than exhaust for the typical positive pressure setup, hopefully all the intakes are filtered. Negative pressure typically doesn't work well unless you have a very cramped case, or a server chassis or something, plus you have to filter every crack and crease then.

The bullshit is that FEs were only available at some stores. If you live near me, they did not go live. I carted a TRIO but didn't get it because I want the FE. No chance to even try. I should have bought the TRIO and just moved on but I had no clue what the features were or if it would fit.

Basically they randomly allocate the cards to locations and then you compete. You then have to pick it up at a store. Who knows when they will have them near me. Or anyone else who wants one.

Yeah, the third AIO fan is probably going to create negative pressure. I only have 2 fans on my AIO exhaust so 3 Front intake fans and 1 rear work well with it.

That said, Ive seen vids where the side intake and exhaust dont really make a difference in overall thermals.

I have a 850 watt PSU. All the AIB cards are asking for 1000 watts. The FE is asking for 850. I would really rather not wire up another PSU. Think it’s worth waiting to find an FE or should I just get a new PSU.

Does your current PSU have a PCI-E 5.0 600W connector? If not might as well upgrade it too.

I'm stunned you were even able to get one. They cleared out in less than a second. It was a repeat of Ampere.

That said, they're pretty good about getting it shipped out ASAP.

Also, after watching some reviews it seems like even the Gigabyte Gaming OC used power in the 700's with a 5800X3D PC.

I may yet return the 1300w PSU I ordered or save it for my next build next year.
