Ninja Theory are no strangers to using every technique possible to create the most immersive and cinematic games on the market. Today, they shared a new technique they use to replicate “Anamorphic cinema” in game that is typically found in film.

Nothing screams "Oh boy, how I wish I was making a movie instead" like taking a pristine rendered digital image, containing intricate details and clarity that is simply impossible to capture using physical processes, and then slathering it in post-processing techniques designed to make the image look like an entirely different medium.

What time is it?
24fps would blow this board up if the game rendered that way.

I've been hearing a lot about the photos they've taken, the dialect they're using, the graphics and techniques but nothing about how it plays. The original Hellblade is criminally boring and I hope this won't be the case with the sequel.

Ugh... Chromatic aberration and spherical aberration, basically everything I'm trying to get rid of in my glasses (myopia). Why do devs add this in games on purpose... We have a perfect image quality by nature in 3D, yet they ruin it by adding effects that other industries have been trying to get rid of. It will never make any sense to me.

Just image how much better NT games would be if they focused their resources on gameplay.

The only thing you hear about their games is good graphics. I don’t think I have ever heard any of their games actually having solid gameplay mechanics.

It’s like the priorities in their games are:

1. Graphics
2. Cut scenes
3. Audio and diologue
.
.
.
25th. Gameplay

I'm just hoping this won't be a typical "Gamepass game", i.e. great to have on Gamepass but that's about it...I just ask that it's as good as the 1st game. Loved Senua's Sacrafice
