Not a big fan of these track limits, or lack thereof. First s corner is where I have the most difficulty with.

Number 1 guy is 3 seconds faster holy shit
Yeah, kerbs are super wide in Interlagos, so a lot of cutting needs to be done mainly at Senna's S. Currently with a 1.49.4xx but I am not sure it will be enough for gold. Will try to get to high 48.
edit: got 1:48.944 \o/

Well done man 👊🏼 Respect. What camera are you using?

Edit - Yeah every curb with that "grate" style stuff next to it. The entry into Senna S is just very difficult/annoying for me. Has been that for me way since Sport.

Anyways, still having fun doing the Circuit Experiences.

Thanks!
I use the bumper camera. I tried to get used to cockpit because it's awesome but couldn't :(

For sure. It's a great time.

Yeah I use bumper as well. It's kinda hard in regards to elevation changes in corners, for example the first corner on Autopolis where you're more or less guessing because you're to low to see. Tried hood view here and there but that feel to weird..

Cockpit is awesome but very challenging yeah

Excited for the new track. I rarely care about new cars considering you still have to grind like hell to be able to drive them but a track we get access right away.

Haven't played it since the release... did they change anything about SP progression to make it more like old GTs or is it the same Cafe Menu bullshit?

I'm expecting a major update until the end of this year so...the november one or december could be 2 great months.

If i remember right Gran Turismo updates near Christmas are usually good since GT5 if i recall it right.
It has to be one of the next two updates since they are holding back on purpose. Can't wait for them to drop a bomb. Fingers crossed.

I really hope they revamp the ffb for my wheel. I never went back to check, but my impression is that GT Sport was better. Seems like there's lots of clipping (dead ffb) even on the minimum setting. There was one update, 1.15 iirc, where it seemed to go in the right direction but they reverted it for some reason.

I did a nighttime endurance race on Broad Bean Raceway with the AMG Gr.3. When i tried to switch to the high beam it deactivated the lights on the car. The headlights where glowing on the car but there was no actual beam to light up the track. Was pretty crazy when i reached first place and couldn't see a thing.

I was disappointed I couldn't vote it for GOTY but I was glad to see it at least in these 2 categories
I love gt7 but imo too many things waiting for improvement/fixing to put it as game of the year tough when I see on this list Stray and Plague…

yeah I saw someone posting that bug on twitter. Looks like the game has reset to track when someone parks on pit exit, but when doing so, places the player in the wrong 'rollback' area due to multiple layouts and/or pitlanes. Or something like it :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Makes sense especially at this track. So weird when i saw that. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Polyphony Digital Switches Out Gran Turismo 7 Daily Race B After Glitch Abuse

Polyphony Digital has taken action to curb widespread abuse of a glitch in this week’s Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races, replacing the affected event in the three-race line-up.

The previously little-known glitch with the Autodrome Lago Maggiore circuit essentially causes the player’s car to teleport from the start of the final sector almost to the finish line, due to a vehicle reset function not operating as intended. It affects the “West End” circuit pit lane. When driving that track, stopping the car for a few seconds in the pit lane exit causes the car to be reset to the track, just before the start/finish line — which is just a few yards back. While the pit lane is blocked off on the GP and West courses, the exit lines are still present and the reset function still operates, but sends cars to the main start/finish line instead. That results in an effective time gain of around ten seconds.

Up until now, this glitch has only been used by a handful of players in a few single-player settings: Circuit Experience, Human Comedy missions, and Cafe Menu races. However players started to use it for the qualifying Time Trial for this week’s Daily Race B, and inevitably that spilled over into the race itself. The situation has been remedied by swapping out the venue for this week’s race, with Red Bull Ring Short Course now hosting the Gr.4 cars for the event instead. Previously PD has fixed such issues with glitches and shortcuts in online events with the addition of barriers to prevent access to the affected areas. It remains to be seen if Polyphony Digital will be taking action against players who exploited the glitch to boost their Driver Rating, but the studio has previously stated that “misbehaving” players would be “subject to punishment as soon as it is discovered”…

Gran Turismo 7 “25th Anniversary” Update Coming This Week

Gran Turismo series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed via Twitter that a new update is coming for Gran Turismo 7 this week, curiously referring to it as a “25th Anniversary Update”.

The confirmation takes its usual form of a teaser showing off some of the new content coming to the game in heavily disguised lighting conditions, the now-famous “silhouette” image. As we’ve seen across GT7’s life, with one exception, the image contains three vehicles but no clues to any other content. The approximate date of the week commencing November 21 is also confirmed:

The three cars in the image appear to be relatively easy to identify this time round. Up in the top-left corner we have the new-to-series (and highly requested) Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, given away by the enormous “whaletail” spoiler. It’s not clear if it’s the “base” model or the enhanced RS500 from the angle in the image.

At the bottom is a Nissan Silvia S14, with the defined hood ridges marking it out as a late-model “Kouki” car and the aggressive rear spoiler suggesting it’s an “Aero” model. This returning car would sit alongside the pre-facelift “Zenki” which was also recently added to the game.

The top-right car is a little more of a challenge to pin down, but it looks to be another new-to-series vehicle: the F87 generation BMW M2. Again it’s not clear from the image alone whether it’s the original M2 or the M2 Competition which replaced it in 2019.

As ever, we don’t know what other content or features this update will bring other than these three cars, though the curious “25th Anniversary” name might tilt fans towards some optimism.

Officially, Gran Turismo won’t be 25 years old until December 23 this year, which makes the update a month early to carry that particular branding. That could of course mean we won’t see a separate update in December, but also suggests there’s more within this update to mark the milestone. It’s been a while since we’ve seen any new track content, with the most recent being the Catalunya variants, and only Watkins Glen arriving as a wholly new location. With the 2022 Gran Turismo World Series World Final also coming up this week, it would be an ideal time to promote the game with a new circuit.

Fans are also still eagerly anticipating a key game feature, announced by Yamauchi in the game’s early life road map back in March: car selling. That’s yet to see the light of day, and surely can’t be far away. Although no specific date has been revealed for the update yet, it’s likely that it will arrive on the regular schedule of the final Thursday of the month. That means we can expect it on November 24, which is both Thanksgiving in the USA and the first day of the Gran Turismo World Series World Final.

I haven't played in weeks and I suck lol.

Wish they would announce PSVR2 support so I can get used to using the wheel more.

I think I joined the room super later or it might have been one with similar name. Did a few practice laps then raced one guy. Race started and I didn't notice I put my car in reverse. Just me full throttle at the start like an idiot.
