Overrated movie in my opinion, most people who rave about it have a hardon for the special effects, though aside from that it’s solid on the whole. The effects are pure class yes but this movie is so much more than its effects which for the time where absolutely groundbreaking, for me it's all about the atmosphere, the believable characters who don't look Hollywood acting at the top of their game, the tension, the pacing is pitch perfect, the incredible soundtrack, you could go on and on and every single part came together to create a cinematic horror masterpiece with no equal except for Scott's Alien.
